My first week ended yesterday. Met all of the goals set for the week, and lost 7 lbs doing it. Biggest thing for me was no processed sugar...I'm a sugar addict, among other things. Best thing, though, is finding out how many others, over 50 are succeeding...never saw that in WW. Very powerful motivator!! Join us in this…

Welcome. I just joined last week. Was on WW, but it was cancelled, so wanted to find sometihgn else. I'm hooked on this site. In the last week, I'v excercised more, eaten less, and lost more weight than ever before. Makes you think about what you are doing (or not doing). Lots of encouragement here as well.

Week # 1 – December 2nd -- Goal 360 minutes I did 400 minutes last week (first week). Give myself some wiggle room

So...this is day 7. It has been a great first week. Lost 10 lbs. Worked out every day. I get the motivation from you. Thanks...BTW, did the stairmaster today...not easy!

just discovered this thread. Took the test...I'm 62...fitness age is 51! I am an avid cyclist...so this thread will be great for me. I live in No. VA...so when it warms up, and if there is anybody who wants to ride...maybe we can get a riding group going

End of week 1 (5 days on MFP). Lost 7 lbs. Am kknocking the S&*^ out of exercise goal. Managed to stay w/in calories...for the most part. Also-no processed sugar!
-
Well made thru one dinner, one more to go...still have 1000 calories left!
-
Have seen many similar stories to yours. Seems like many people do really well, then plateau...so my question is how do you manage it, and what do you do to make progress?
-
Hey Carissa you have really started something here. Quite a following. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving here, so while u get a break,we get a challenge!

Day 3 has been great. Had an early Tday last night, but kept it under control. In my last 3 days of VO2 max booster program. Since I started this adventure last Sat. have lost almost 5 lbs! Also found out, yesterday, that my thyroid is screwed up...hypo, and because of it my metabolism is slowing...considerably. We'll see…

finished my 3rd day. It's been a really great time, so far. didnt realize how much support is out there when u look for it.
-
Second day was great. Huge difference from WW. Having trouble getting the calorie count...good thing I think .
-
Day 2. Spun for 1 hour doing VO2 intervals. So far so good

Found this on the WEB from Mayo Clinic. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/hcg-diet/an02091 You might want to try finding an FA meeting. It might help you. FA is not just for people who eat too much but for folks with eating addiction.
-
Just finished Day 1. Was under my calorie threshold. but over for protein and fat. Is there afeature on the website that provides nutritional breakdown so you can plan what you are going to eat?
-
How are you doing it?

I'm with you. I am also a sugar addict. get a bag of cookies...all gone in one sitting. Same is true with any processed food with sugar in it. I did a 2 day binge Thurs and Friday last week (on purpose)...started no sugar regimen (I'm not calling it a diet) on Saturday). Will let you know how it's going

Count me in too!
