I do minimum of 3 days of cardio 30-40 mins. I also add 3 days of weightlifting that has gone from 45 mins now to 90. I like to use the elliptical, take spinning class and arc trainer. When the weather gets nice my daughter and I run the local state park steps to the top of the gorge. There are over 800...we run the steps…

I'm down 113. I would like to lose 50 more but my doc thinks that might be too low so I'm aiming for 30 to start. Add me if you'd like :)

Mine are sewn together as 1 in the thigh area which is really nice! I have looked at some brands and they don't seem to be sewn in that area. I'll give your suggestions a look. Thanks :)

Been doing sumo lately. They feel more comfortable. I don't know if it's my height or that I'm not stick thin and conventional makes me feel like I'm curled up in a ball at the starting position. I narrowed my stance today and it helped. I'm going to be meeting with a trainer soon to go over form..can't wait!

So I know this is nothing compared to everyone here but today I broke a plateau on bench. I did 90lbs for 5 x 2. I can feel how much stronger I've become since I laid off them for a bit due to a shoulder issue. I had been at 85 forever. I bet I could have done 1 at a higher weight but I don't have a spotter.

I have 1 pair of favorite shorts and if I lose any more weight I won't be able to wear them anymore and the company doesn't make them any longer :( They are 2 in 1's...bicycle type short sewn in underneath and a mesh outer short. I have never loved anything as much as these in my life. The legs are snug, but not tight,…

I'm doing it now, started in May 2016. I modified it though and will do all the lifts in 1 session 3x a week, except Bench..having some shoulder issues with it so I've backed off. I have gone from the starting weights he suggests and am at 195 DL, 85 Bench, 105 Front squat, 105 Bentover BB row, 60 OHP. Not impressive but…

I go alone. I don't feel you get a good workout if you can talk to the person next to you. Had some girls carrying on a conversation the other day. I look over and her elliptical was set at 4 incline and 1 resistance. They never broke a sweat...I was dripping when I got done. Much more effective workout when alone (for me)…

I've had Hashimotos for long over 20 years. Take my Synthroid, don't follow a special diet. I did have a health coach once who wanted me to do no diary, no eggs, no gluten...I suspected next being told to go graze in the yard for my dinner. I couldn't restrict my life in that way. I've eaten sensibly and have lost weight.…

You make that look so easy! I tried 205 DL today...couldn't get it off the floor! LOL

I wash mine everyday. No way could I not. As you can see in my pic, it's shoulder length and requires hairdryer and curling brush to make it look nice because it's really thick. I sweat like crazy around my forehead, temple and ears when I workout. I don't put it up because I look like a dork! LOL

My husband has said some very insensitive things at times to discourage me. As others have said, use it as motivation to prove him wrong. Sometimes they need to think before they speak.

Thank you all for your thoughts! I really appreciate the time taken to reply. I've been having so much fun doing the DL's that I have been doing them every time I workout. I like the idea of mastering the weight and form before adding more. For me SL is too aggressive with adding weight each time. Thanks again :)

Mine runs in the 40's and I have no heart problems. When I was in the hospital for surgery the monitors didn't like my HR though, the alarms kept going off because it was low with me just laying there hanging out.

My wrists have gotten smaller and I was able to go to Kohl's today and buy a pretty bracelet for my mother's funeral tomorrow. I could never find any to fit when I was heavier. She always loved "bling" so I'm going to be pretty tomorrow :)

I know this is old, but have to share my story. My mother was in ICU recently. I had spent days there sitting around and wanted to get in some activity. Found a stairwell in the ICU, not marked with anything except an Exit sign. It was 3 stories. I started running the stairs. When I was done, I came out and a male nurse…

Just had my first massage a month ago. I prefer a woman, think having a man would be awkward, but that's just me. I prefer female doctors too.

Had a girl last week doing landmines squats in the squat rack (there's a dedicated landmine in the corner) and pushups using a weighted ball. I was like really??
-
I was using all the leg machines for quite a while and really didn't see my legs change that much. In May I started SL5x5..Hornsby & Sued0nim are right...the squats, DL, for me, have changed my legs considerably. I got some strong legs now and I can see muscle definition. I started doing Sumo DL's, they are cool B)

Thanks for the tip! At Vitamin Shoppe now they are buy 5 get 1 free so the final bill after 12 was like $19.98. I usually look for the best price but have run out fast (my daughter is eating them too!) so I get them there.

Found these at Vitamin Shoppe. They are really good! They come in several flavors. Protein bars taste like metal to me. These don't.

Arms and chest :)

Can bragging about other things count? If so...I know someone who does that all the time and it gets so old. I just want to ask them if they'd like a pat on the back.......with a sledgehammer.
-
Awesome! Curious...what's that guy doing next to you?

Love that show. As odd as it sounds it is my motivation to keep going. I could be one of them if I don't hold myself accountable, exercise and eat right. I was 1/2 way there when I decided enough is enough. I hope they continue to do updates!

I do fronts because I can't get the back squat form right. My upper arm feels like I am twisting it in an unnatural position. I do other exercises to target the back of my legs so I hope I am getting the right balance.
-
Not that I ever see. I about ran into one tonight because she couldn't figure out where to stand. I so wanted to say get the "f" out of the way!!
-
Just referencing some girls that are never at the gym (I'm there everyday) and only show up on Friday nights. Wander the weight room, doing nothing, getting in the way. :#

@Willbenchforcupcakes - awesome! (I've been doing sumos lately...they are fun!) I hope your mom is doing well, I was thinking about you earlier.

I'm not sure that's a bad thing. I'm no expert, by any means. I feel like form breakdown would/could happen when increasing just because you're trying to manage a heavier weight. I noticed with OHP that I kept arching my back. Big no no. So I dropped back on the weight and I'm working on getting the form right. I couldn't…
