  • The only protein powder I will put in my body now is Isagenix. It comes from clean, whole sources that isn't loaded with a bunch of fillers and junk. A good friend of mine who is a Crossfit champion and does a lot of lifting, drinks a lot of protein. He was getting some stuff from Complete Nutrition, thinking it was going…
  • I couldn't get over the fact that he was a snappier dresser than me.
  • The most accurate way is to wear a heart rate monitor. The ones with a chest strap are the most accurate. You program in your gender/ht/wt and it will record your heart rate throughout a workout and give a good idea of how many calories you burn. I love mine, and really hate when I forget it and have to work out without…
  • That is an amazing loss so far! Keep up the great work, and you will reach your goals, no doubt. On a side note, I see your "after" pic is taken at Maurice's. I love love their clothes! It's one of the only places in our mall where I felt like I could get cute clothes no matter what size i was in at the time.
  • I recently found some new flavors of Luna Bars, high in fiber and made just for women. They have chocolate raspberry and peanut butter chocolate. Delicious and 110 cals, and have added folic acid for women's health.
  • Also, the link I posted above that is for teh Polar FT4, is 64.99, free shipping, and this includes the chest strap.
  • Most, if not all, HRM have to have the battery replaced by a jeweler. My jeweler doesn't charge any extra, and he says by no means should you attempt to do it yourself. It is not the same as a regular watch. The chest strap I could always change myself, though.
  • Wow, I can't believe the scensors bleeped out the word D i c k 's sporting goods! lol
  • http://www.heartratemonitors.com/polar-ft4f-purple.html?productid=polar-ft4f-purple&channelid=FROOG This is the one I'm going to order on Friday. I've always wanted a Polar, and now I can finally afford one! This is the cheapest I've ever seen a polar FT4. At ****'s sporting goods, they are $89.99. Many of my friends have…
  • You look incredible! You are truly a beautiful woman, both before and after, but it's great to hear how much more confident you are now. I can't wait until I can feel comfortable in my skin again. Thanks for the inspiration and motivation to keep going. Seeing pics like this really does more than you know!
  • Welcome to MFP! I have been on and off this site for over almost two years now. I'm back, and ready to get serious about it. The first time I joined, I lost 30 pounds, but I have since put about 15 back on. All in all, I"d like to lose about 60 pounds. Feel free to friend me, as I love to help motivate, and need some…
  • I love MFP. It really does work when you stick with it! It's amazing that you've already lost so much weight, congrats!! Good luck on your continuing journey. Feel free to friend me if you'd like!
  • Welcome to MFP. This site really does work when you follow it. The thought that eating too little is what's causing the weight to stay on sounds crazy, but it's true. Your body needs to know that it's getting the fuel it needs, and when that fuel comes from healthy food, it thrives! Feel free to send me a friend request.…
  • Welcome, Sindy! I've been on here about a year (on and off), but I'm back and ready to get serious! I love MFP, and it really works when you stick with it. Feel free to friend me. We can all use a little more motivation!
  • That is the blood test for pregnancy that most doctors will do before giving birth control. It's far more accurate (early on) than a urine test.
  • I'm assuming they did a BetaHcG test before giving you the Rx for birth control?
  • I work at a blood bank as a mobile phlebotomist. My hours are different every single day, which of course makes a routine impossible. Some days, we'll work 6 hours, some days we work 14 hours. It all depends on where the blood drives take us. Now that I've worked there a year, I can keep track of which places have…
  • You look amazing! And, PS, I love your outfit in the new pic, so cute!
  • It sounds boring, but I have started relying on fresh fruit for quick and easy breakfasts. I was getting so bad about getting into the fast food rut and stopping by McD's every morning. Now, I always make sure to have fresh bananas, apples and pears on hand, as well as yogurt and smoothies that have 100 cals or less.…
  • but, what if you dry off your moist panties on 10 lbs of bricks? How dense will they be then?

  • on a side note: if you crave eating ice, I've heard that can be a sign of being anemic. Not sure how much truth there is to it, though.
  • Oh, girl, you crack me up! I would say trying some type of gas medicine before hand like charcoal, or any OTC gas relief pill. Other than that, fart away!
  • I really needed this today. Thankyou. :)
  • LOL...totally not what i was expecting this post to be about! The only advice I have: "Go with the flow".
  • I get mine at Sally Beauty Supply and it's called Toma's. It gives a really natural looking color, and you get color right away because it has a bronzer in it as well.
  • I am also a part time decorator, and I have found that I don't even like cake anymore! If I try a new recipe, I will test it out, but for the most part, I have no desire to sit down and eat a piece of cake just because it's there. Now the raw batter and a fresh batch of buttercream, I'm in trouble! lol. Just say no!
  • I cut my chicken up into bite sized pieces, marinate in Kraft Light Honey Dijon dressing, then cook in in a pan on the stove top. The dressing gives it a great flavor. I use it to top salads (to recreate a healthy version of the Cracker Barrel grilled chicken salad) or eat with brown rice.
  • I'm with ya, girl! My goal, for now, is 150, even though I might go lower if I ever get to that point. I see girls on here all the time who are short like me (4'11") who's goal is 105...oh well. I love your quote of only comparing yourself to yourself!
