I love asics. I have a really high arch and need alot of cushion and support. They are my favorites. Tried a new brand recently and they didn't work out. No run for me until my foot heals. Saw the doctor today and he thinks it is tendinitos. Could still be a stress fracture. Too soon to tell. I have to cross train and he…

Hi Jess, Thanks for asking. I am going to get my foot xrayed today. It still hurts to walk on it, haven't tried running! I wonder about the xray though because I read that a stress fracture takes time to show up on an xray and I just got hurt this weekend. I am going to try and find something to do at home since I am home…

Thanks sweet assurance and JessMom. I think I will go get it checked out this week. I can definitely not run on it! It hurts to walk. It's encouraging to hear that you have recovered from various injuries and are still running. My heart was sinking when I heard stress fracture....but we will see. Thanks Bunny

Our training group had a 7 mile run yesterday and towards the end I got this horrible pain in the bottom of my foot and toes. I am limping badly today. The trainer said to get it xrayed for a stress fracture if it doesn't get better. Anyone else have a stress fracture? Help! Bunny

Great Job JD. I am so impressed! That is my goal next November. I am a bit nervous though. Our training group had a 7 mile run yesterday and towards the end I got this horrible pain in the bottom of my foot and toes. I am limping badly today. The trainer said to get it xrayed for a stress fracture if it doesn't get better.…

Thanks for posting this. I just wanted to add that not all the bars are tainted. You have to check their expiration dates. Turns out all of mine are ok. The dates are also on the FDA website. Bunny
-
Ok I looked it up and Web md has a link to the FDA list of products. Mojo bar is on there as well as Luna, Cliff.......check it out if peanut butter is your craving! I will have to find a new afternoon snack. Bunny
-
I eat a peanut butter and jelly Mojo bar everyday! Guess I would have been sick by now but isn't Mojo made be Clif? Bunny
-
T hanks for the info. i've been considering a GPS to track my speed but this sounds even more valuable. Bunny

I hope so too JD! But that is so cool that you went out and biked with your group. Shows committment and dedication  I ran 6.5 miles today with my group. My arches have been sore lately and that combined with some knee pain convinced me to try some new shoes. I am so attached to my Asics nimbus but I am trying…

Wow! It is so reassuring to hear your experiences. That is amazing Jess that you finished :flowerforyou: . I found some good IT band stretches at Runners world .com. Bunny
-
Thanks everyone. I saw the foam roller at our running store last night. Lots of people recommend it! I would love any info you can send! I'll keep stretching and icing and I will take a few days off! And I will goggle some better stretches. When do you know if it is time to see a physical therapist. I do get massage and…

Hi everyone, I just posted this on the fitness blog but thought that I woud also ask you experts! Any experience with this injury? Yikes! I am a relatively new runner. Been running for nine months now and completed a 10K in November. I have been training for another 10K and have developed pain around the outside of my knee…

Yikes! I am a relatively new runner. Been running for nine months now and completed a 10K in November. I have been training for another 10K and have developed pain around the outside of my knee which is an IT band injury. I first felt it after a brutal speed workout! Anyone have experience with this type of injury and how…

Thanks everyone! Phew! I thought you all had expensive fancy gadgets! I'll give the websites a try! Bunny

Everyone is reporting in on how far they run. I have a rough idea because I know my pace but unless I am with a training group with a route mapped out for me I only have a guess. What do you all use? Curious Bunny

Went out for a short run today. My son is recovering from surgery so I needed to stay close to home. Did about 2 miles. How do you all know how far you run. I know about what my pace is so I can guess my distance. I only know for sure when I run with the training group. :flowerforyou: Bunny
-
Thanks for the info! :flowerforyou: I am looking for something that will tell me my pace. Any ideas on deals for watches that do that. I think that they have to have a GPS. Bunny
-
Sorry to hear so many runner are sick! Take care :flowerforyou: I ran 5.5 miles today with my training group. Am not sore tonight but the outer side of my knee hurts! Probably will be better tomorrow. Bunny

Wow! What is a sprint triathalon? My next goal this year is to run another 10K in the Spring and better my time. I would like to get some 10K's under my belt and then go for a 1/2 marathon  can't believe I just said that! I ran 5 miles today -good run! Happy New Year everyone Bunny
-
:flowerforyou: Congratulations! And I agree - they are addicting. I did my first 5K this year and then did a 10K in November. Slow and steady wins the race  Bunny

My sister is visiting and she is a power walker so I walked with her 3 miles. Good workout! On a personal note, my son's surgery is scheduled for Monday the 29th. Bunny

I ran 4.5 miles with the training group. Good run. Funny though. I seem to run better by myself and with the group there is alot of chit chat and socialization. I love the people and talking to them but I find I get stitches and have a farder time runnnig and talking. I don't want to be aloof! What do I do? Bunny

Thanks everyone! Bunny

Well folks. I can hardly believe it but I reached my weight loss goal. Last March I was out of shape and in need of a total renovation! I joined MFP and a local running club and am now in the best shape and more importantly the best health I have been in for probably 20 years! Thanks for all you support, wisdom and…

Wow thanks everyone, I have noticed that I tend to get them when I am trying to run faster than usual - like tempo runs; or when I am gabbing with a running partner. I have also upped my ab work so that may be part of it. I will look up the sites recommended  Nice to be in such good company. Bunny
