  • Have you looked into Tapout XT? It's based on mixed martial arts and I read some great reviews on it. If I hadn't gotten a gym membership for my birthday I was going to check it out after I completed Insanity.
  • I was a full C before kids even at 155 (my lowest weight as an adult), but after 2 kids and breastfeeding them both (a total of 2 yrs and 9 months) and losing 55 lbs I'm back down to an A, and I'm happy with them. I'm proud of what they've accomplished, they served their purpose well. More than a handful is a waste anyway…
  • I eat about an hour before bed a lot. And it;s not always healthy dinners but I fit it into my calories. Yesterday I woke up at 5:30 like I do during the week, I didn't have dinner until after I worked out around 7:45 PM, I had 2 slices of Little Caesars cheese pizza, a breadstick and a salad with cottage cheese, dressing…

  • The peanut butter cup sundae is so good, and at 140 calories I'd say they're low cal.
  • Good on you! I am 7 months in and still crave the bad foods I've always loved (chips and dip, nachos, pizza, oh my), I'm waiting for the day when that disappears but I don't think I'll ever choose veggies and baked chicken over pizza (taste-wise).
  • Seriously?!!! This is HUGELY inspirational. You look awesome, like you were never heavy a day in your life! I too started at 240lbs and could only hope to look like you someday. Congrats!!!
  • fun size candy bars or hershey's kisses, just log it and use portion control to fit it into your daily totals.
  • You can look up HIIT on You Tube. It's free and I've heard good things about HIIT. I did Insanity but with a knee injury you may want to stay away from that.
  • This is the post I made after completing Insanity: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1038467-i-completed-insanity FORM IS VERY IMPORTANT during Insanity and every workout you do. It prevents injury and increases results. Any moves that feel awkward to you I recommend having someone watch you do it (not during the…
  • Coffee, 2 hard boiled eggs a cup of strawberries mixed with 1/2c low fat cottage cheese and a Tbs of ground flaxseed.
  • No advise really just wanted to say I feel your pain. I was losing weight at 4lbs a week at the beginning, then leveled off to 2/wk for a while now since around the middle of June I've been hanging around 186 (the scale finally showed 185 three days in a row though so I logged it as my current weight today). But still, 1lb…
  • Check out Jamie Eason's LiveFit 12 week program. I'm doing this now. On week 3 and I feel some changes already, I'm going to take comparison pics at the end of week 6 (halfway). One of my friends did it and lost about 30 pounds and her muscle definition looks amazing.
  • Thank you! Good luck!!
  • Try not to think about it so much. The "fit" people in class were probably not always that way. They may look at you and think "good for her. I remember being there once". If you exude confidence and stick with it they may start noticing changes and you may even get some compliments! I'm also sure you're not the only one…
  • I'm hating the DOMS, lol. My *kitten* and hamstrings hurt so bad yesterday that I could barely walk up and down my stairs. I did chest and tri yesterday and today it was hard to put my van in park (shifter on the column) and I'm struggling just reaching for my water bottle! I'm just hoping this means success is on the…
  • Take before pictures and measurements! A lot of people forget to do this, get discouraged when they can't see results in the mirror and quit. If you take pics you can definitely see changes happening and it will motivate you more.
  • If you go by the 1200 calorie MFP sets you at you're supposed to eat back all of your exercise calories so that you NET 1200 calories.
  • I do. Sometimes when we are having a busy day we stop at the food area of Sams Club to eat lunch while we shop, I usually get one slice of cheese pizza and dab the grease because it's REALLY greasy and I know it's better if I don't have it. I still log it as one slice of Sam's Club cheese pizza. I do it wih New York style…

  • When I used to workout at home I would just do it, if my kids were running around so what? Mine are 2 1/2 and almost 4, they saw me put my HRM on and said "it's time for you exercise Mommy?" lol. I see it as setting a good example for them, that I regularly MAKE time to exercise. I work Mon-Fri from 7:00-3:30, I pick them…
  • This makes me hopeful! I started lifting about 2 1/2 weeks ago and eating 1550 cals per day as opposed to eating 1300 and doing cardio cardio cardio. I want to trim those inches and lose about 30-40 more lbs, I'm hoping I have the right combo and this post gives me proof that it may work for me too! Congrats, you look…
  • Can you eat tuna from a pouch instead of a can? Tuna has awesome protein and I like to add 2 pouches to a salad with some cottage cheese, thats about 46g protein, add some shredded cheese on top or some sliced almonds. Shrimp also has tons of protein and is not very high in calories when steamed.
  • You can't judge a book by it's cover. I'm a newby at weight lifting and I'm currently on week 3 of Jamie Eason's LIveFit plan. I have to check my phone to see what workout/exercises I have that day and sometimes have to watch the "how to" video on form again before doing it. It doesn't take me more than a minute and I like…
  • Short, sweet and AMAZING!! Awesome job!!!
  • Why is that embarassing? You should be proud of your progress so far! How tall are you?
  • "Don't just choose a macro ratio and go for it. Calculate your protein and fat minimums, and fill the rest of your calories with carbs. The protein macro you want to shoot for is 0.82 grams per pound of body weight. The fat macro you want to shoot for is 0.4 grams per pound of body weight. For example, I weigh 185 pounds,…
  • I don't hate on ice cream, I love ice cream. But I do tend to envy people who can eat 3000 calories a day every day and lose/maintain their weight, just sayin'
  • Why not? It says right on my bottle of prenatals "for before, during and after pregnancy". Prenatals are great multis for any woman of childbearing age, whether they are TTC or not. Just check with your GP first before taking any meds/vitamins/supplements.
  • Seriously, I had a hard time interpreting the rest of the post after I read that line. CADBURY CARAMEL McFlurries??! I'm moving to GB like today (I'm assuming OP lives in GB because we don't have Cadbury Caramel McFlurries here in the US).
