This is my reasoning for eating pizza and junk food here and there :).

The more you do of what you've done, the more you'll get of what you've got. Once you learn to quit, it becomes a habit.
-
My ultimate goal is six pack abs, but I have mini goals I create and achieve like do a few more reps or go a little longer.
-
First, awesome job on the weight loss and hard work. Secondly, I think you should start doing a lot d ab exercises to put some muscle where the fat is. Like weight crunches, weight sit-ups, hanging leg raises if you have something to hang from, and use an ab wheel. I know you don't have a lot of money but I found mine for…

My truth: you can't out train a bad diet.
-
I would go with lunges. It really hits those glute muscles.

Working out your major muscle groups burned the most calories, such as legs, back, and legs. Other than that, watch your calories and aim for a 500 calorie deficit, stay away from refined carbs, and get your protein in! Keep up the good work!
-
Pretty much exactly like me. I don't think our goals, or our journey, should ever stop. Once we meet one goal, shoot for another. I guess that's how the process goes. Lose weight then go for abs.

Lift heavy. Est 1.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight. I recommend getting one of those mass gainer supplements. Give your muscles time to rest and recover. Muscles grow when your resting, not working out, but you need to rip and tear the muscles properly, hence the heavy lifting 1-6 rep range, but also 8-12 rep…

I would say there is but it would be hard to reach it. I think you would feel too full before you ate too much protein. I have heard that people with kidney problems had trouble wth protein, so maybe something like that would happen to a regular person who ate to much protein. Not sure.
-
That is really awesome! I love hearing stories like this.
-
Yeah, I definitely know the protein is too low. I strive for around 200 grams of protein a day, because that is around what I weigh and what I want to keep weighing, and MFP only wanted me to have like 94. Then all those carbs. I was thinking if I really wanted to lose weight, there would be no way. Well, lose weight and…

I'd love to see it!

This seems like a good idea. I love coffee and chocolate protein powder. Kind of like a hot chocolate. I have heard not to drink caffeine after a workout because it does something with the way protein get into your boy. But first thing in the morning, I see nothing wrong with it.
-
I agree with amyrebeccah. If it feels too low then it should be changed. I think you can lose 2 lbs a week and be ok, just make sure you're getting enough protein would be a major concern because that can cause muscle loss. Another suggestion would to eat like that on days you don't workout. I'm suppose to eat like 2800…

Are you getting enough sleep or under a lot of stress. Those are two things that can affect weight loss. Also, I've heard of people consuming too much sodium.
-
If at first you don't succeed, try and try again!! :). We never fail until we quit.
-
That's an ambitious goal. I think you can do it. I am a person who likes to dream big and I set my goals ambitiously. I have faith in you and think you can do it!
-
I really do hate that for you. You know, one of the reasons that I started working out is because I looked around and saw all the people that actually couldn't workout. Maybe they lost their legs, maybe their arms, maybe they were sick, or maybe they died serving our country. And every time I worked out and felt like…

I've never really "clean bulked". But, you should be eating 500 calories more than if you were to maintain your weight, and you should be eating 1.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight. Foods to stick to are lean protein, vegetables, fruit, and healthy fats. You are bound to add a little fat though.
-
Haha, that's so funny!!

Yes, consistency is something that is difficult to integrate into our lives when it comes to fitness. What I found is, if I make small commitments and build up my habit of keepin those commitments, I can make bigger commitments. Its hard to start working out going from not working out to working out 5 days a week. Or going…

This happens to me too!! I har a set shedule throughout the week of when I eat, and I eat pretty much the same things everyday, more or less. Thanksgiving had me REALLY thrown off.
-
Diet soda is good isn't it? What keeps me from drinking it, is the fact it has aspartame, and I've heard a lot of bad things about it. So I just quit drinking it. Water, coffee, and milk for me! And being from the south, I do indulge in the occasional sweet tea. Oh, and I still have a problem from time to time with jolly…

I know EXACTLY what you mean. Sometimes I think if I work out super hard one day, the belly fat I want gone will disappear. Patience is something I've struggled with as well. Other times I think, is what I'm doing really working? I've gotten results so I'm doing something right, but in the beginning, that's what I thought.

I feel the same way about trying to be under the calorie mark, but I am so hungry! Moosycakes, I totally agree with all the food at parties and to many shots, too! :)
-
Raisins and Greek yogurt. And a scoop of whey protein.

I'm looking for friends too! :). I've noticed not too many guys are hear. That's ok though. I love myfitnesspal and the community! Feel free to add me. We're all on that fitness and healthy journey. We might be in different places, but our goals are mostly alike. Let's not go at it alone!
