Still a work in progress

Yep, I had to cut my list down as well. Anyone feel free to add me. I'm always looking to add active friends, too.

I'm a sucker for anything buffalo chicken. Thank you so much for sharing this! :)

Maybe for the ladies.

Ab wheel, hands down. Other than that, planks work well. I only work my core twice a week, but I lift heavy so I work my core when I do squats and deadlifts. Some say not work your core everyday, but if you feel like you're good to go, do it.

Um... eyes. Specifically, the cross-eyed eyes. Lol

Your body is probably stressing out too much from the exercise and then from being in a caloric deficit along with mentally thinking about it. It's all hormonal, and I can explain it in detail if you like, but what I suggest is eating around maintenance calories or a little over for a week to balance out your cortisol and…

I've never heard that, and I've been around a while. I eat about 200-230g of protein a day. I'm perfectly healthy.

Since you've been down this road before, you pretty much know what it takes to get there. It's just getting your body to agree with you on what you need to do :). Here's something that can get you motivated: If you haven't gotten your wedding dress yet, go get it. Try it on, and then have them slim it down to the size you…

You really have to be in tune with your body because like the previous people said, it's different for everyone. I lift heavy, so I have to have something on my stomach before I workout. I've worked out without eating before, and I didn't get as much out of my workout. I couldn't lift as much and got fatigued quicker. With…

SheGlows, I know exactly what The_Enginerd is referring to. There's no "put your butt in school". I'm not new to this. Exercise does boost your metabolism, but it doesn't boost your BMR, much like The_Enginerd said. If I could clone myself and all things being equal between the two of us. If one of me worked out every day…

Wrong. Metabolism is what turns your food and nutrients into energy, among other things. When you exercise, you expend energy. Once energy is gone, you need more. Your metabolism speeds up the process of breaking down food and nutrients to supply your body with more energy. When you are through exercising, your body is…
-
Exercise boosts your metabolism the most. Weigh lifting in particular boosts your metabolism more than cardio, but either one is a good metabolism booster. After exercise, your metabolism is boosted for up to 24 hours. Eating healthy is good, but exercise wins at boosting metabolism.

I'm always looking for active friends for motivational support! I added you.

I didn't plan on charging for anything. I'm not some newbie to MFP looking to promote anything. I don't post a lot, but I read a lot of the posts here of people asking questions on what to eat and where to start. I was planning on putting something together to help newbies out because I've been there. It's simple and not…

For some people, it's not that simple. Some people hear chicken is good for you, and it is. But if you make fried chicken, that's not healthy. I use to add grease and oils to my "healthy" foods, not knowing I was making it unhealthy. I also didn't have a big variety of foods I ate and would get tired of eating the same…

Unhealthy food is food that is conducive to sickness and disease. I never said anything about reaching a calorie goal. You can eat healthy foods and still be fat. People do want to lose weight, but a lot want to be genuinely healthy. Just because someone met their calorie goal, doesn't mean they're healthy. Just because…

My wife use to do zumba, and it actually helped her out. She doesn't want to do ANY exercise, and zumba was fun for her. I actually did it with her one time. If you do it right, you can actually get some decent cardio in. The dance moves can be kind of hard if you're not the dancing type though.

It seems kind if weird, but a lot of people have bitten plateaus and once they increase their calories a bit, they are able to lose the weight. I would stay where your at and keep at it. Great job!
-
I lost 27 pounds, but what was more important was how I looked. I didn't go for a goal weight, I had a certain look I wanted, so that was my goal. I worked out about 5 days a week and about 2 or 3 of those days I worked out twice a day. What really worked for me, other than being in a caloric deficit, was doing burpees.…
-
Once I met my goal weight, or goal look rather, I started to eat more. I quickly caught it before it got out of control :), but without logging and pushing for a goal, we get comfortable. I can tell a huge difference in what I eat when I'm logging vs. when I'm not logging. I advise to continue logging and staying at…

1. Not sure what to advise on this, except just focus on you and your goals. I'm tunneled vision on myself and my goals. I don't care if people are friendly or not, or see me as a threat or not. I've got goals to accomplish and a workout to crush. If you're not helping or encouraging me, bye. That's my thinking. 2. It's…
