Thank you so much! I will keep working towards eating at least most of my exercise cals. It may take me a while, but I will get there. I am currently burning between 500 and 900 ish a day. Sometimes more, sometimes less.

Great post! I have a hard time meeting my calories but I have tried much harder lately. Today was much better than the past few, and my exercise was up pretty high as well. I have been having the same problems. One thing I have done is add a protein shake in the mornings. I wasn't getting enough protein before and my calories have been way under until today. I just tried to snack a little more. I just forget to eat sometimes, which sounds dumb but I used to eat only once a day.

Mine does this as well. I notice that it usually says Fat Burn during my lower heart rates, 120ish (when I am warming up). It says it on the screen that displays the heart rate and time *during* your workout.

Mine has been very accurate, I have an FT7. I burn about 488 cals in a 55 minute workout, depending on what I do for the duration.

I made that mistake myself the other day...no worries. I pick right back up, do some exercise to make up for it a bit if I can. If not, I have a better day tomorrow! It is okay to indulge once in a while, just don't make it a habit! :)

I thought about that as well...but I too just consider it a bonus. lol. I know I probably don't calculate all of my calories to a 'T', so it doesn't hurt to get that extra little cardio in.

I just bought a Polar FT7 and I LOVE it. It is very accurate and came with an adjustable chest strap.

I always go over my sugar with fruit too. It is the largest part of my sugar intake, in fact. I ignore it because I am always right on target everywhere else. Better I get that sugar from fruit than from processed foods or sweets.

Heck yes! He is rarely on his anyway, phone or fb. I get on fb but usually don't talk to anyone except old high school friends. My cell is only used to talk to him and my best girl friend.

Did yours come with a chest strap? I think I am leaning towards the FT7 because it clearly has more features and they are all important to me.

That helps! The FT7F is more expensive, but that doesn't mean it is better. I don't want anything super difficult, just want to know an accurate calorie burn really and safe HR range.

I was having trouble meeting my calories as well. Feel free to take a look at my diary and see where it started getting better. I added a Whey Protein shake with fresh fruits and berries. Oh boy can I relate!!! I have lost 85 lbs before and gained it back and then some. I am now down 18 lbs and have 108 to go before I am at my goal weight, 160 lbs. Once there, I will decide if I want to go further. Good luck with your journey! Add me!
