I have those friends, too. My husband's cousin is always talking about how awesome his wife is on Facebook, but according to him, he hasn't been on Facebook in two years. The only reason it's still active is so his wife can log on and send herself game requests, so it became pretty obvious what was happening, lol.

I second Pinterest! It can be hit or miss, but I have found some awesome recipes there for sure. As far as brand new to me foods, I am aiming for at least once a month. I recently tried fresh mango with breakfast and spaghetti squash for dinner for the first time. Definitely am NOT a fan of mango and the squash was just…

The point is that in order to be healthy in the long term, you have to consume enough calories to ensure your body functions properly. That's not going to happen on 700 calories a day.

Love this! Here are mine: 1. I'd rather be sore from exercise than from arthritis. 2. My step-daughter is having a baby in November...I don't want to be a fat grammy! 3. So I can share clothes with my daughter...who doesn't want to double their wardrobe, lol. 4. Cirrhosis of the liver is in my family history and I had…

I don't really have an aversion to it, I've just never been motivated enough to go get my hunting license. Plus we have enough friends and family that hunt and bring us meat (as in they shoot it, we skin it and eat it, lol) that we don't really have to in order to reap the rewards.

If you've gone from a size 10 to a 2 or 0, there's definitely been a change. Sometimes it's just hard for us to see those changes ourselves.

So what about this hypothetical? You meet the girl of your dreams. She has, in your opinion, the perfect body. You fall in love. You get married. You have a kid or two. She gains 50 pounds and those curves that you once loved are no longer in the same places. For whatever reason, the love of your life decides that she…

Because your body needs a certain number of calories at minimum to perform basic bodily functions. Based on your intake, you're not eating nearly enough calories.

I make something similar but sub non-fat, plain Greek yogurt for the mayo.

I have had a few over the years. One of the most significant ones though, was seeing this picture: The caption says 240+ since my next recorded weight was 243, but in all honesty I was probably closer to 250. I lost around 40 pounds between November 2010 and April 2011. My most recent one was when I realized how…

That's really not that bad. There are people here that consume a minimum of 1600 calories a day (and others even more than that) and are still losing like crazy. Personally, there's no way I could make it on 1200.

A couple of "bad" days aren't going to make that big a difference in the long run. There's definitely no reason to feel guilty about it. It happened. You can't go back and change it, but you can keep a positive attitude and make tomorrow a better day :)

For me it's not that I'm unhappy, it's the fact that I want to extend that happiness for as long as possible, and the chances of living a long, happy life are greatly diminished at 200+ pounds.

I've never been hunting, but I've helped dress plenty. Love me some good deer tenderloin!

I have a Flex and absolutely love it. The only time I ever take it off is to charge it usually takes less than an hour if I've let it completely die. I love that it syncs with MFP and the only things I have to keep track of are stationary activities.

Usually water, sometimes coffee with a splash of half and half and Splenda if I feel like it.

Thanks! That's definitely the plan and much more realistically sustainable for me than anything you've suggested

I love my Crocs that don't look like Crocs, too! I have to agree though that they're totally a hazard on wet surfaces...I've almost busted by @$$ on more than one occasion.

Totally not weird -- at least I don't think so since I do the same thing. Knowing something I want isn't going to taste good totally puts me off, and by the time the toothpaste taste dissipates, my craving usually has, too. I also know that my cravings are worse in the evenings, so I try to eat pretty light during the…

I have lost almost 15 pounds in the last 5 weeks or so. In that time I've had pizza. I've had pasta. I've had chips. I've had French fries. I've even had Chinese takeout and "gasp" donuts! I worked them into my calorie allowance by weighing/logging pretty consistently so I knew with relative accuracy how much was left in…

I'm not disputing the fact that there's more than one way to accomplish goals. I did in fact listen to her suggestion as to which gym to visit and she mentioned some classes that she attends/teaches. I didn't dismiss her completely because she does look pretty awesome. My only issue was with the artery comment.
