You really believe this? You reject anthropology (mentioned earlier), biology, and the obvious patterns of other organisms that don't have access to TV, societal programming, advertising? I really wonder if I live in the same world as some of you. Brings a tear to my eye to see subjective theory of value used in this…

Never. I have a shower at home. I like it.

Aside from the programming issues (your weight increases and frequency), it happens less and less as you gain experience. It takes years to fully realize potential during a workout. Intensity, contraction, etc will never be close to mastered during the first year. Don't sweat it. If it's an ESPECIALLY bad workout: go home,…

Maybe some people don't want to have a steak before their 5 AM FASTED workout. BCAA's work, pure and simple.

Doggcrap training. Mountain Dog training DC more focused on strength progression. Both geared for mass. If you're bored then stop doing the american periodized power lifting routines for a bit. 5/3/1, 5x5, etc ...it's mostly all the same. SS, madcows....those recommendations are all almost the exact same thing. 5/3/1…

Xtend Scivation. It's the OG of BCAA's. cheap, tastes good. If you train fasted, then yes, BCAA's are a good idea. Make sure whatever BCAA mix you use has at least 3g of Leucine. Leucine is easily the most important amino and the one proven to trigger protein synthesis. 3g is the amount proven by clinical studies.

I really hate it when short limbed people take selfies with me in it. Sorry, but I don't want a close up of my facial pores mmmmk

Just a few days ago was the story and pictures of the sex ed teacher using Common Core curriculum to justify teaching elementary students about penis pumps and strap ons, with demonstrations and various illustrative techniques. Now we have moms trying to teach second graders about sexual identity with vagina cookies. I…

The only legal pill that is going to make ANY STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT increase in testosterone is a designer steroid or prohormone. BUT, they are actual legitimate oral steroids and come will all the same risks. Only thing going for them is some of them are legal because it takes years for the Feds to ban them. If it's…

No, I'm a normal guy that works 70 hours a week and flies 100,000 miles a year. I understand the difficulties. But as a trainer, looking the part is quite important unless you have a fantastic resume, which most do not. The trainer should have things all figured out too, no? If they are in the gym several hours a day…

People are always going to think about past memories in their lives, especially ones that left a mark. Not a day goes by I don't think about people who used to be in my life, but are no longer an active part of it. You have to either accept that or find someone who has no past.
-
exactly. I may get some flack for stating this on MFP, but being a normal weight is not difficult. It's not. Eating and basic discipline is not a fundamentally challenging thing. ESPECIALLY if you are already IN the gym for 4-12 hours a day. They can't workout for 1 hour and stop shoving food down and just be a normal…

Yup. Weight classes really keep things in check. Too bad most of them are 5'3", it really kills the overall physique, taper, and illusion of an X frame. Dennis Wolf should have taken the O imo. The other 3 contenders were poorly conditioned. Come on guys, this is the Olympia...show up dry and lean the first night. Wolf had…

hey now, 90's fashion is alive and well in Portland, Oregon! Portlandia was dead on. yes.

what a steaming, illogical pile of .... too much sociology class, too little logic and reason

And no sanctions even considered for a possible cover-up. Meanwhile, USC still has sanctions in effect just because a 3rd party agent gave a little financial incentive to a star player 10 years ago NCAA....great work!

it's an internet meme. whatever. I think the real reason is his other multiple run-ins with the law.

They did this here too. In NW portland there are two one way streets to cross the interstate. So effectively ONE surface street to get across. It had two lanes. Until 2 weeks ago when one of those lanes became a bike only lane. Now, it's 100% packed traffic on the single lane, backed up and takes two full light cycles to…

How bout they just ban cyclists. they can go to spin class or something. And wear their super cool spandex in spin class groups.

get an invite on the reddit subforum. Good luck. http://oneplus.net/ It's better than the iPhone 6.. Which isn't saying much.

Flex. Duh. Unless a guy is like 5% bodyfat or less, unflexed abs are pretty unimpressive. Same with quads, biceps, triceps. Chest, back, shoulders look good unflexed. But arms, legs, abs almost never.

Fast Metabolism (lose weight at under 4,200 Calories a day) + weak appetite (I'm perfectly content at 3000 Calories on average). Been slowly trying to gain weight for 6 years now (13 years actually, but didn't get serious until I was 19)

When my extended family sees me eating carbs or junk or pasta or pretty much any delicious food "oh, you must be taking a break from your diet right now?" No. This is my diet.

I wear really tight tank tops because I like looking at myself in the mirror, not for attracting women. *grumble* *grumble*

back. back. back. then some shoulders. and more back.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AfOxKyn7wGI Watch that. Keep core tight. Do the breathing like he does. Then shove your *kitten* down and stay tight. If the spine is braced, breathing is correct, abdominal pressure is correct, then the spine won't round.

Filet Mignon, Lobster Tails, and French Fries. Could eat that every meal of the day

The presence of increased testosterone is not what causes the emotional instability, which means that your implication is also wrong.

MFP is the tamest, nicest, least aggressive fitness forum I've ever spent time on. And I'm a member at pretty much every large bodybuilding forum. MFP also has, far and away, the most sensitive and entitled userbase. I don't see how some of these people who get offended by MFP posts can even function in the real world. I'm…

I've done GVT several times and it's one of the worst hypertrohpy routines imo. Never will I do it again. It's hardly high volume and doesn't lend itself to progression Then again, 10 sets of 10 reps is NOT what I consider volume. Volume to me is 14-24 sets, rep ranges between 5-20 reps. drop sets, rest pausing, forced…
