asexual troll reproduction? Seems like fitness_derek has budded into GermanG6, arfruin, and bradnewton0318 (seeing as how all of their profiles have about the same 6 friends and low post history)...impressive

last concert was ScHoolboy Q at the Wilbur theater in Boston, in February--SOOOO much fun. I'll be going to Mad Decent Bloc party in August to see Chance the Rapper and DJ Snake, should be a fun time :)

yummm, I'll definitely be making this, thanks!

I made these buffalo chicken burgers a couple of weeks ago. They were very easy and very tasty! I topped them with half a slice of bleu cheese and served them with some grilled asparagus, yummm. It is very handy to have a meat thermometer for these because you're mixing the meat with the buffalo sauce, and the sauce makes…

thanks everyone! definitely helping ease some of my anxiety. My doctor is wonderful and she gave me a couple percocet and lorazepam so I can take them before and after the insertion--off to my appointment now!

It makes me feel better that so many other people also have food drawers at work :) here's mine: -jar of peanut butter -almonds -various kinds of tea -cholula hot sauce -emergency chocolate -wasabi peas!

also remember that you'll have to re-calculate your calorie intake with every 5-10 pounds you lose. If you start with calories too low you won't have any lower to go after you've lost some weight (does that make sense?)
-
that number was from doing TDEE-20%, which is about 1 pound/week. It could be possible that you're just not big enough to lose 2 pounds/week and still be nutritionally satisfied with enough energy to keep up with your family and workouts. Try to remember that it is not a race. I think its MUCH better/easier to lose a…

http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ just fyi-I put your stats in and says your daily calorie allotment is 1590 :)

I just had a 1/2 cup of lowfat cottage cheese (I prefer lowfat b/c I think its tangier than full fat) for 90 Calories and 14g of protein, and you can eat that with pretty much any fruit or veggie for a pretty filling snack---cucumber, bell pepper slices, carrots, blueberries etc. The creaminess and the protein are what…

Thanks for the tips/encouragement everyone! I'll definitely be checking out bodybuilding.com, the balance and control was what I was most worried about, sounds like I'll just have to take it slow :)

It took me about 5 months to be able to run 3 miles without stopping--but I haven't gotten to the point where I can do that consistently (normally do 2-2.5 miles). I'd also really like to be able to run 6-7 miles without feeling like I want to die! Right now I'm trying to focus on getting my pace up, but I'm finding that…

If you really want to run, make sure that you don't do too much too soon and end up with overuse injuries. When I first started running I hated every second of it, but now I can run a few miles just fine, and even enjoy it. It definitely helped me to start out SLOW, like only running for 30 seconds at a time (or less than…

Thanks for the advice everyone, very helpful!

I believe our plan is to do Tuckerman's Ravine and stay in one of the AT huts. I went out and picked up some non-cotton shirts this weekend, and I have hiking boots that I've used for a couple of years so they are well broken in, but I also have some moleskin just in case--I don't want pesky blisters slowing me down! Do…

my biggest danger foods: cinnamon rolls, french fries, and any kind of chips and dip I just completely stay away from cinnamon rolls now. Occasionally I will still buy a tub of french onion sour cream dip and some ruffles chips...that dip only lasts about two days. Luckily I've gotten better at adjusting the rest of my day…

I would also love some more supportive friends, so feel free to add me (anyone). I didn't use the social aspect of mfp for the first few months, but I've since realized how motivating it is to be in this struggle with like-minded people :)

I run outside occasionally (if the weather is just too beautiful to miss), but I actually prefer treadmill running: I find looking at the numbers tick away is super motivating for me. I also have allergies that can make running outside very annoying. I started running for fitness/weight loss, and didn't really consider…

me too! hot cheetos really are my first love but also: -french fries -wingstop wings -anything fried that you might find on an appetizer menu -ranch dressing -guacamole

whenever I make these, I make a HUGE batch to freeze, and the toaster oven is a perfect way to heat them, they hold up very well in the freezer

I'm sending you a FR. Anyone can feel free to add me. I'm on here everyday and love getting the extra motivation/seeing what kind of exercises people are doing etc. I was working out 4-5 days/week but I've recently started taking an organic chemistry class on top of working full time so that has dropped to 2-3 days/week :)
-
Awesome progress! I think we could all use a little more motivation, anyone can feel free to add me :)

The Purge by ScHoolboy Q!

that's awesome! I just got up to 5k yesterday (35:00) and now I'm going to start working on improving that time

Wingstop! I could put away soooo many of those wings--always accompanied by copious amounts of french fries and ranch dressing. I always felt ****ty afterward, but for some reason it felt worth it....and then I would eat a bowl of ice cream to try to chase the ****ty feeling away lol now: I still love wingstop, but I've…

Anyone can feel free to add me as well. I'm 24, 5'3 (on a good day) and recently broke into the 160s. I love making friends that are on similar journeys :)
