Wow, if you're going to do it you may as well enjoy it! You can eat whatever you want just be sure to log it and ENJOY IT! No guilt should be felt as long as you're logging it.

I'm not new but haven't gotten very far, add me if you want. I can use all the support I can get!

Have you tried spaghetti squash? It's pretty good, if prepared correctly it even resembles angel hair pasta. 45 calories per cup.

Good for you! Keep up the great work!

I'm training for a 10k now. I've only ever participated in 2 5ks and I'm doing the Bridge to 10k app. Maybe that could help you prepare. Good luck!

You can add me :-)

Quaker Crunchy Corn Bran 90 calories a serving and it's pretty filling. I love the taste (very lightly sweetened) but my kids call it crunchy cardboard, Brats haha.

I've been here for a while but haven't really taken advantage of all the user support! Add me too :-)

I feel your pain! I've started a new program 2 months ago with a nutrituionist and personal trainer and haven't lost 1 &@$! pound. So frustrating and they keep telling me to stick with it. It's really getting very depressing since I've been doing boot camp 3 days a week, running sprints 2 times a week and longer runs once…

A comfortable 4 would a realistic size for me. This would be about 10 pounds that I need to lose.

I was never a runner but I forced myself to start because I didn't have a lot of time to workout. While waiting for my daughter at softball practice (3 times a week) I decided to start running instead of watching the practice from the bleachers. This is how I started running. As stated above the C25K app is great as it…

Try doing some weight training on your non jogging days. Light weight dumbbells to start or find a workout video. You just want to try using a different muscle group.

I have eaten 1200 calories for about two years and have seen very little changes. I have recently started seeing a nutritionist who has instead that I need to eat 1750 calories a day and I must workout 5 times a week. She says I have damaged my metabolism and that it could take up to 3 months to get me out of starvation…

Thanks so much!

WELCOME! I wouldn't worry about the scale as the others have said, it will seriously make you crazy. My husband confiscated mine because it makes me crazy and actually will affect my day depending on the number. The pants test was a great suggestion. As for food to eat, you can friend me and view my diary to get ideas on…

Friend request sent. I too can always use a little more support.
-
I haven't done or even thought to do that, seems like a good idea though. May just be the motivation (slap of reality) to keep me moving :-)
-
Friend me if you want, I'll take all the support I can get too!
-
LOL! Point taken, thanks.

I wish I found this group sooner! I'm going to work my weeks and post how it goes even though I'm a few weeks behind. Thanks for starting this group :-)

I gave up on earphones. I don't like running alone and unable to hear, I want to be able to hear when I'm about to be attacked. I could be over cautious though. If I'm outside I just play my music at a level that's not too loud.

I know I'm late but is it too late to jump in? I'd like to try and lose 3 since I'm starting late if that's ok. If not I'll wait for new goals to be set in February. Nice job everybody, keep up the good work!

Great thread! I just started running and I signed up for my first 5k and after the first few days of running I'm thinking this is going to be more difficult than I thought. My time is about 12min per mile which sounds horrible. I hope to reach 10min per mile by the time of the 5k which is 6/5/11. Training tips would be…

Thanks ladies, will do as soon as I figure out how...hehe

I'm a huge carb eater and this could be a way to reduce my carb intake. I'm going to try it, thanks for the post.
