I work three nights a week. So I recover on Thursday and Friday i'm back on first shift schedule. I've gotten used to it over the past several months. Despite the stigma of gaining weight on this shift, I've actually lost 30 lbs while on it. Its all about portion control.

My next meal is at 3:30am, and I won't be in bed until 8 am.

Ahh cmon, we are adults here. The point I'm making is my body knows how to get rid of water weight before the weigh in date. Nothing more, nothing less.
-
I don't consider it as tricking the scale. When I drink too much water, my body holds onto it for a few days. I see consistent progress when I drink 8 glasses a day, and I am never thirsty! On top of it, my true weight shows. My body naturally eliminates the fluid one day before weigh in. I drink 50oz and I have to…

I eat three meals a day. Small meals, but filling. I only eat a snack if I'm going to the gym for extra energy. I've learned to eye ball my meals so the only calories I need to count is exercise calories. According to my ticker, I've lost 38 lbs since Dec. 2013 (my MFP join date). I can say my method has been working. I…

For me, my answer is like many others who posted on here. Portion control is what it comes down to. I enjoy SOME of the foods I used to eat but I feel better than I cut a lot out. Gaining a bunch of weight is mostly contributed to how much of it you eat. Plain and simple.

Feeling appreciated and receiving compliments are my love language as well. It just makes the soul feel better. Are you a virgo?
-
Appreciate it. Comparing yourself to others will def mess with your head. I am slowly becoming comfortable with being me.

My before and after. Took the before pic in July 2013 and the after pic yesterday. Viewing more of these will help me for sure.

You make a great point about the mind! I was huge but saw myself as a man probably 230 at over 300lbs. My mind is slowly adjusting because the compliments are coming from all different directions. thank you all who commented on this thread. When I was at my worst, I didnt take many photos and that should have been an…

Try a friday morning weigh in. If you work during the week, it is easier to stay disciplined during that time frame and on Thursday, still continue to eat clean with no cheat meals. Also, lower your water in take on that day and watch your body rid of the fluid. By Friday morning, you should see a loss.

Great insight! I haven't began weight lifting yet but since I am 40lbs away from my true goal weight, I think its time. Thank you for this information

I eat peanut butter, a few wheat Ritz crackers, or yogurt and an apple. The key is to not overeat

Any others experience this?

My intuition was right. I lost 2.8 lbs in the past 7 days! Didn't predict that much but I knew it was at least 1.5lbs. Pay attention to your bodies, folks. It will tell you what you need to know.

I've lost some cm on my body in the past five days. I measured myself this morning but didn't weigh in. Ive also had my inner voice kick in so hopefully I'll yield a good result in the morning. I've been feeling slimmer all day. Going to workout later tonight as well.

Couldn't have said that any better. We think a like!

Yes, I eat it everyday for breakfast!

hot wings. Preferably grilled or broiled!

Awesome news!!

Appreciate the love, Thank you.

180 would be marathon runner shape! When I get down to 200, I'll see how I feel to get in that range, but I like being a slim bigger guy. Being broad shouldered, it looks great. Our heights and highest weights are similar. I'm 20 lbs heavier than you. I feel great at 244 thus far so I know you feel awesome! Congrats on…

Eat half a plate each meal and incorporate veggies as a side dish to fill up. Leave out fattening dressings. Drink black or green tea with little sweetener. I've been doing this and my body has changed dramatically over the past 6 months (50 lbs lost, 18 not accounted for on MFP). I don't calorie count b/c it is nerve…

For a beginner, I would suggest the elliptical. I am a die hard elliptical fan however after a while, it will get boring. Took me three years to get bored with it lol. I started the treadmill a couple weeks ago due to a considerable amount of weight loss in the past 6 months and extra energy. I like the way I feel when I'm…

Funny you say that. I just ran up two flights of stairs at work, ran down them, then ran outside for a 1/8 of a mile, in my dress shoes. Good way to keep me awake. Suprised I wasn't out of breath. My breathing elevated of course but I wasn't gassed as I used to be in the past. My treadmill plan is working.

Currently, my running speed is 4.5mph. At this rate, I don't feel overly exerted and my legs don't burn. I do 2 mins of running, three mins of walking at 3.5mph and repeat. It is working wonders for my confidence. I put the incline to 1 or 2, depending on the response of my body at that given time. I will try outside…

For the first 2 or 3 weeks, my cravings wouldn't let me not think about them. I started to drink tons of tea (black and green) and that curbed it. After a few months, I lost more than 30 lbs and my appetite decreased dramatically. I no longer need to drink tea to curb my appetite. I am disciplined enough to eat three times…

Appreciate this feedback. I often get the tuna, on the weekends. I eat the wheat bread. I will steer clear of that, could def be affecting my weight loss progress. Thank you.
