Weight Loss Help *Water Rentention*
Lately I've been feeling bloated. I do my cardio workouts in the gym and at home. I make some room for cheat meals but overall I count calories and keep within a limit. I drink alcohol once a week. I drinks lots of water, 80oz or more per day on average. I drink lemon water hot or cold. How can I get back on track to…

Stubborn scale
So...I've been well under my goal this week. I set my calorie intake for 1580/day (MFP suggestion) for a 2lb a week loss. Inches have been coming off. My deficit calories this week add up to 3,000. Weight still the same as last week. My macros are on point as far as sodium and what not. What is up with that?

Weighing In
Anybody else have a set day where they do a weigh in and the results show a gain, even if properly following your eat/exercise routine? Funny part is, the next day, I end up showing the weight loss for the calories I budgeted for. I stopped sticking to a particular day. If I feel lighter one day, I'll do a weigh in.…

In Between Meal Snacks with high Fiber/high Protein
I am losing weight pretty quickly on my current plan, but I do experience hunger pangs at work, not big ones, but enough to be a difference maker in me sticking to my plan in the long term. I was wondering, what are some quick snacks that I could eat between meals? I normally eat breakfast at 7am....lunch at 12pm....dinner…

Small Success but Big Steps
I started food calorie counting last Monday. I already lost an inch in my waist, 2/5 inch in the thigh, inch in the stomach. This is not my final goal but I feel like shouting my small successes right now. My shirts already fit more loose :) Please feel free to share your small successes here!

Food Diary for Men
Anybody have any food diaries they could share, particularly the men in here? I just started calorie counting my food this week and I'm making great progress, not even a full week in. I need some meal ideas to follow. Currently, my daily goal is to consume no more than 1630 cals/day. I've been under that and experienced a…

Stocky, Husky, Chubby, Fat
I want to know, what do you guys and ladies prefer? Gentlemen: Do you care about being the jacked guy or is being a little husky comfortable for you? As a man, I know it takes a lot of effort to get to the lean and cut stage. Also, it seems to only be sustainable if you truly want to do it for the sake of your health and…

Your Comfortable Weight
Hey All, I was wondering, what weight do you think is suitable for yourself? I know we have these BMI charts and other weight standards society tries to tell us to live by in order to be healthy, but what do you think fits you? My ticker says I have 11 more lbs to lose. This would put me at 220 lbs. I'm 5'10 and I feel…

Is getting a trainer smart or a quick fix?
The reason I ask this questions is because some people can lose the weight and educate themselves but shovel out tons of cash to get fit. Sometimes, they stop the training sessions and start to gain the weight back. I think having a trainer is a quick fix for a lot of people, not a solution to absorbing knowledge on how…

What Do You Do The Day Before A Morning Weigh In??
Currently, I drink about 70 oz of water from Monday-Wednesday, and about 50 oz on Thursday. My weigh-in is Friday mornings. I have found that by doing this, I can see a good weight loss, with my portioned meal prep of course. What is your routine to get the best results on your weigh-in day?

Body Image
With all of this weight loss, I am still seeing my original self when I look in the mirror. I have dropped two t shirt sizes and two pant sizes. I get compliments a lot but I still struggle with seeing the smaller me. What is a good way to get over this and feel comfortable in your new body?

Can You Feel Weight Loss?
This might sound like a silly statement, but when I know i've been eating clean and portioning my food correctly, I can feel my weight loss. For instance, at the end of my week, my internal voice tells me I've lost a pound or two a day or two before I weigh myself on Friday mornings. I have been more in sync with my body…

Jogging and loving it
I think I'm liking the act of jogging. I used to dread it because my legs would burn and I would get winded easily. After starting my routine two weeks ago, I am leaning more towards the treadmill than the elliptical. The elliptical was my best friend during my weight loss journey. How long did it take you guys to…

Motivation 101
I was looking through photos I took within the past few weeks. Instead of having that disgusted look, I can actually smile and be proud of my appearance. The weight loss is paying off. I would say to take as many pictures as possible. This goes for selfies or photos of you doing things in groups and outdoors. Monthly…

Drinking Too Much Water
So I've been told by many articles online that drinking half your body weight in ounces of water per day is a good way to keep yourself hydrated. I believe that is too much water and it will cause discomfort in your sleep and skew your weigh ins. I decided to drink under 90oz of water yesterday and I didn't wake up out of…

Losing lots of weight and buying clothes that fit
So I am losing weight pretty quickly and I am trying to refrain from buying clothes due to the fact that I plan on losing another 50 lbs. However, my former XXL shirts and size 40 jeans make me look bigger and are sloppy looking. I feel great in XL shirts and 38 waist jeans. I like the fitted clothing look. What do you…

Cheat Meals: When Do You Have Them?
I have my cheat meal on Friday typically, on the same day I weigh in. I eat small portions for a cheat meal. I believe having a cheat meal helps to curb cravings for the food I love. What is your take on it? When do you have your cheat days?

Weight Fluctuation- ARGHHH
I read old threads on here about weight fluctuation. I am currently experiencing that, atleast for the past 2 weeks. I watch my sodium intake and drink plenty of water throughout the week, at least 84oz per day average. Mostly, my weight loss progress shows on a Friday morning. But why is this? Any explanation? My bowels…

Lost 80 lbs and never counted calories!
I see a lot of people on this site talk about counting calories. Honestly, I've managed to lose a good chunk of weight and drop 2 or 3 shirt sizes and I never counted calories or weighed my food. I portion according to judging by the eye. I feel like counting calories is complicated and to be honest is not a natural way to…

I was 290 in the before pic. I gained 5 lbs from July to October. I decided to do something about it. I cut 37lbs from October 26,…

Losing inches but weight going up
So I lost 27 lbs in the past two months. Over the past two weeks, my weight has hit 268 lbs but floats +/- 6 lbs. I'm losing inches weekly but it seems as if once I hit 268 the scale never goes lower. I hit this same result last year and ended up giving up and gaining 25 lbs (the girl cooks very well too). I'm not sure why…

New but not to weight loss
Hi Everyone, I have been on a journey over the past two years. I decided to change my lifestyle on April 12, 2011 when I picked up a scale from Walgreens. I came home and stepped on it and it read 325lbs!!!. I'm 5'10 so you can pretty much say I was BIG. I went back out to the grocery store that day, feeling bad but…
