This thread is dedicated to those of African descent who have overcome the hard task of graduating college. Also, this thread is to bring recognition to those who lost a bunch of weight and graduated with their degrees at the same time. I am one of those people. 44 lbs lost, Class of 2014, Summa Cum Laude!

Congrats on graduating summa cum laude. Well done on your weight loss progress so far. I also graduated with honors. I started my weight loss journey in May 2014 and have lost over 30 pounds so far. Feel free to add me. I log on everyday and keep my food diary open to friends. I have found tremendous support at MFP. Here's to a bright future. Goodluck!

It can't be dedicated to the white people who are about to graduate, work full-time, and have lost weight?

    This...

I don't think your race has anything to do with your ability to graduate college.
Intelligence level only plays in that arena...

I would venture to say we should congratulate all college graduates regardless of the color of their skin.....But that's only because I don't judge people in that way.

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR SUMMA CUM LAUDE!

    and on your weight loss!

Both excellent accomplishments that some find elusive. Heck I didn't get summa cum laude that's a feat!
