Great thread! I started my jogging routine a couple weeks ago and now I'm addicted to it, I seen a schedule that showed me how to build up my pace gradually. In the first week, it says to jog for one minute and walk for four, repeating 4 times until 20 mins is up. I have since moved up to the next level which is jog for…

Tell me about it. I haven't officially plateau'd but I have been losing only .5 lbs a week. It is still good measurable progress but I've been eating as I normally have. I believe my body has gotten used to my routine in the gym so I will be changing it up as the weeks go on. I put my bike in the shop to get ready for…

I take pics of my entire body. I want to see my entire body in clothes and out. This helps me with body image and shows me that what I'm doing is working. It's effective. Trust me, you'll accept yourself a lot more when you see the pics if you are dropping the pounds

I no longer stuff myself. I still look at food as a delicious treat at times but I mostly see it as nourishment and a way for me to feel better and live longer. My relationship with food can be summed up as "everything in moderation".

The simple solution is not really a simple solution. I stop drinking water 3+ hours before going to bed and I still have to wake up early to piss. I monitor my sodium intake levels pretty well. My blood pressure is normal. But I was simply looking at the results of me drinking less than 100 oz on a given night and my…

I've been drinking an average of 84 or more ounces a day. Some days I drink 120, other days I drink 100, etc. But it wakes me out of my sleep and it is frustrating at times. I'm not water intoxicated or anything but water has put me 4 or 5 lbs heavier on the scale and I don't like it, temporary or not. I too carry around a…

It's not about being skinny. It's about being healthy, fit, and active. You don't have to be a twig to be fit. You can be skinny and unhealthy. Lets know the difference!!!

Apples are good for you if you need to take a major dump

30 min elliptical workout, three times a week for 3 weeks, burn at least 400 cals before stepping off. I was 325lbs when I started that routine. I adjusted resistance based on comfort, so I took it easy but still somewhat challenged myself. Did that for months and cut tons of weight. Best way to do it for a beginner IMO.

depending on the space and where you are located, it is easier to deal with the hassle of backing in so you can pull out later.

People started to notice after not seeing me for at least a couple months or so.

Thank you for your contribution. This thread is growing slowly but there seems to be a good group of us out there with the same issues. Currently, I am 244, with 44 more lbs to lose. Please feel free to post your current weight and goal weight as motivation for others in the same boat. Appreciate you all.

Wow. Now that's progress!!!

I concur!! Took about a couple weeks or so for the tea to really curb the appetite. I like black tea personally, made from the same leaves as green tea, just more oxidized. You can drink as much as you want. Try to use Astevia. Maybe a little bit of honey and lemon if you need the extra taste. It has helped me shed 50 lbs…

My girlfriend found an old pic of me from Oct 2012 and I made a before after with a pic taken two weeks ago. What a difference 40 lbs make. Sheesh!

Anybody else have a weight loss chart? Sometimes helping others see your journey in this way helps us to re evaluate our ways of eat ing over the months and years. This chart brought some reality that I will not repeat again!

Real women have stretch marks! That's how it is. Nothing wrong with that.

Nice. Making legit progress. Doing it fairly quick as well. I bet your self esteem is high and your energy has increased a lot. Hard work always pays off in the end.

I can say at 245 now that I feel great. However, being 200 lbs is gonna feel like I'm walking on air. Stick to your goal and it will happen.

BMI only works if you are really obese and you want to get into a healthier range. When you are our height and 200 lbs, that is not fat at all. Simply lifting weights and moving your body will keep you from getting pudgy. 180 would be good for a marathon runner but for a guy who likes to be somewhat bigger and more filled…

You look pretty fit to me. Why not maintain? Is it an endurance issue at this weight or are you focused on the look?

an easy walk several times around your neighborhood after you eat is the best for you. Burns the food off quicker and helps digest it. If you can't walk after eating, chances are you consumed too much.

Thanks guys. I actually bought a fresh practically-brand new Nautica suit this weekend. Its a 46R (5 months ago I was a 48-50R) and no tailoring was needed. Price tag you ask? $15.95. A definite steal for sure!!!!! You guys are genius for passing this information off to me. Appreciate it.

I finally can semi fit into some large size shirts. Its surreal because I've been a 2 and 3x for 10 years. I'm fitting into shirts and pants I wore 12-14 years ago. They say you can't turn back the hands of time, but that statement is a partial truth. Proud to be a member of MFP!! You can change your situation and come out…
