I don't recommend skipping the gym. I find I am way more health conscious when I work out, because I realize the value of eating healthy and how much work I have to do to burn 100 calories. Try it for 90 days, every day. It will become a habit and you will not want to miss working out.

You can't control what part of the body fat goes to, or goes away from. That would be nice. Lyposuction perhaps could be a method if you want to target an area, lol. For me, the love handles were the last thing to come off.

Yes! Here is the recipe I used as my base. I ended up adding about 16 oz of spinach in with each batch to increase the fiber, and also used 2 bags of lentils (910 grams) as well. My MFP recommendation was 1740 calories per day to lose 2 pounds per week. I never made these calories back up -and on top of it I did cardio (stairs) every day for 1 hour. I ate lentil soup for breakfast for a long time. Home made lentil soup. Sometimes I'd add chicken in for variety. It was a 200 calorie breakfast with about 15 grams of protein and 12 grams of fiber.

Rarely consume alcohol, but when I do I consume straight liquor (typically high end tequila), as it gives the most bang for the buck. (1oz = 69 calories). Drinking one drink is pointless to me - if I drink, I want to get drunk, or at least buzzed. But having hundreds of calories of booze is not worth what I could have had…

I agree 100% on the below person's comment. Coffee actually suppresses my desire for food. (That's not why I drink it. I drink it because I love the feel of being CAFFEINATED!!! I prefer strawberries because you can have a lot of them and it's not very many calories. For example you can have a big bowl of strawberries versus one apple. To me it's a no-brainer.

Going on a vacation and going to do my best to stay on track. Stick to power foods and no beer if we drink. (Spirits only). I'm going to have a few rules to abide by, but plan to still enjoy my vacation and stick to my plan.
