This is a good point about good chocolate. I found the Quest protein bars so many rave about to be inedible and really hard on my stomach. These artificial ingredients are pretty hit or miss...

I am not on the Atkins diet and am totally skeptical of anything bearing the Atkins name. However I did taste some of their snacks and they do taste good. My passion is Coke Zero and I am aware in the perfect world all I would drink is water.

I estimate and use the closest things I can find. It is difficult and not accurate. Or, choose chain restaurants that publish their nutritional information.

Hello Mike! I myself am working to lose 100 lbs. The people here are great. Put any advice for extreme or fad diets out the window! Set your activity level and weight in MFP then simply eat at or less than the goals. Until I started logging my food with MFP I really had no idea how much I was eating. You'll do great!

Morning before you eat - same amount of clothing each day... Cut out all the variables besides your body - the food in your belly weighs, as well as other things that can be in your body that you "evacuate" all weigh too ... You have no idea how much these things weigh, so weigh without them as a factor.

I use the Withings wireless scale. It uploads my weight to MFP every day.
