Not all foods are created equal... I have learned that overall. Nutrition is even MORE important - what you think is healthy? might not be... Most people, when they start to diet, and look for a calorie deficit, just eat the same foods they were eating before, but less... and of course they lose weight, but it gets harder…

if you eat too little one day, trust me, the next day will catch up to you and you WILL over eat. I never eat back my calories, work out 3 -5 times a week, losing about .4 to 1 lb a week. it's not a race. it's a destination and a journey.

you are asking a bunch of strangers their opinion because i think you're in disbelief of the response you received.. i go with all of the above. Kick him to the curb. 8 years, you're lucky you're NOT married.

Eat 1500 cals a day if that's what you are trying to do. Do not add back your calories.

I hope they meant something other than this...>With regards to your diet, rather than making healthy choices, you could use MFP for its calorie counting facility ... Because eating at a defecit works < because if they meant, just eat at a deficit and not choose healthy voluminous foods, then, I WANT TO SCREAM.. MAKE…

Lots of responses... not sure what works. have done the more thing (TDEE) (gained weight) have done the less thing, body holds on to fat. have done the don't eat it back, not lost... have done all and still trying to figure it out.. that Scooby site is a great site for information...

agree with sam I am...that 1000 cals is too low, THOUGH, in the past, I have set my sights on 958 a day based on other sites that calculate what I should be doing if I do not work out at all.. I am 2 years, (almost) post back surgery and it took me all this time to 'come back' - and I am still damaged due to nerve issues..…

oh oops, ten minutes per inch.. it's seared and then poaching, so just till it flakes. you don't want it overdone.

love fish. love salmon. NOT a fan of any kind of frozen fish though. found a recipe a few years ago that was "designed" to have kids try to eat more fish, specifically salmon.. and I've made this for company and people love it. Pan sear it, both sides (I always ask for the skin to be removed before I cook it.) Salmon has a…

TRYING is hard. IF you don't TRY, you never Do.. & I can totally relate...- I was an overweight child (NOT huge, but in MY eyes? huge enough) and an overweight teen, and an overweight adult. I've managed to be 6 lbs away from my goal, and had to have back surgery.. so i gained back 12 lbs over the course of two years and…

I totally have a sugar addiction, and I find it almost impossible to drop a pound, regardless of calorie intake- work outs or,. so will assume it must be the sugar. I just looked up what someone wrote; that sugar is a hepatoxin, so I googled it. and found this site.…

pro help. yes. logging in WHY you are doing what you are doing is MORE important than just logging in calories.. that's the ONE thing about this site that doesn't work.. you need to stop, breathe, count to ten, twenty, 100, whatever, try to catch yourself in the middle and really get in touch with WHY you are doing this..…

5 lbs, ten lbs, 100+ lbs, when you're in it, you're in it.. and if it's about you, it makes ya crazy... I too am in that place with a lousy 12 pounds... I completely understand... 4/1/13 - i was 6 lbs away from my goal weight of 128.. and had back surgery....over the last year and a half, (not to mention my life completely…

oh my... not to be disrespectful but I just cannot believe you are wasting your energy on caring what you look like to your TRAINER.. maybe you should hire a female trainer instead so you aren't all worried and twisted up inside as to what you LOOK Like for a consultation with some random male trainer. Maybe this is all a…

remember how good you felt without the crap in your system... take a few deep breaths, drink a lot of water, and tomorrow is a new day... :drinker:

open to all....not 100% crazy about the fact that I've gained more weight while doing this than losing ... but... 117 day streak and I am trying...

I am BEYOND frustrated. I've actually gained weight (can I blame it on the app?) I was 134 last year before my back surgery, now 147.8 which puts me over the moon with dismay, sadness, and insanity... yet, my body fat percentage did not change all that much.. I know that I need to work out EVERY DAY... ongoing nerve pain…

NOT 100% sure of calorie counts on homemade foods. I do a lot of healthy cooking, and not sure how to determine how many calories are really in a cup of homemade lentil vegetable soup.... I think it's thrown me off.. ALOT...

too much avocado CAN throw you off.. an actual serving of avocado is 1/8th of the whole.. that's about the size of your THUMB. it's a great spreadable fat though...

I hear that... I am going through much of the same.... trying to just break through it.. guru trainer said the sodium content in some of my fave veg burgers might be too high, and or higher than what I normally eat.. water water water water... I have found it a bit difficult to figure out cal. counts on homemade…
