    Hi and Welcome,

I am here everyday if you would like to add me.

Good Luck, we are all in the same boat with you. We may have each gotten here a different way but we are all working toward the same end result.

    This site is very supportive.

Feel free to add me as well. I have an open food diary, so feel free to poke around if you like. I'm usually on here a few times a day, so if you ever have a question, feel free to shoot me a note

You can add me too. I've had a lot of success with MFP and I'm sure you will too. It's all a mind game anyway! :) Good luck!

hi all... 56 yr/old female..... post back surgery... was down to 134 pre- surgery... lots of exercise, lots of movement in my life... & now? post surgery I have nerve damage to my left leg and foot so my balance is messed up and I cannot walk correctly.. I have no ankle reflex and no calf muscle ...:-( been 9 months, and it's not going away as I would want it to, nor, how docs want it to...and been told, it might NEVER. all that and then I gained 9 lbs since april.. doesn't sound like a lot.. but it is to me..i am almost 5.4" and small boned... Took a LONG long time for me to get from 164 (50th birthday)- I gained 20 pounds thanks to MENOPAUSE.. ! have been bigger, smaller, bigger smaller and back again. I got to to 134 and then gained it back due to post surgery, medications, etc. even though I was walking over a mile a day right after surgery for 6-8 weeks..my foot and issues with nerves got worse.. I am lucky enough to work with a personal trainer, 2x a week, she is also a nutritional guru- though sometimes, cannot get to her to work out... and I am not doing anything at home because i am still fearful of my balance being OFF... (which it is...) so- LOGGING IN and Eating 1200 to 1300 cals a day - any less than 1200 not healthy... any more than 1300 and I won't lose a tenth of a pound... we averaged it out.. and it turned out higher in retrospect than we thought... 1500. I've logged in for 25 days now.. and completely totally STUCK. my scale has NOT moved so I am frustrated beyond belief. I used to work out 4-6 times a week, dance, bootcamps, etc., and then, apparently, I slipped my own spine out of place (kickboxing maybe?) IDK... but this past year, and the year before in pain, has been hellish... I am on a mission but it is just so frustrating to DO the right thing and eat the right food, (I never ever eat junk food, my nemesis are things like gummy bears or chocolate..) I was on pain meds for months.. still occasionally.. muscle relaxers too. my nerves are shot in my leg/foot etc., and the pain IS unbearable BUT getting better, many nerve blocks later..I wonder too... are these calorie counts correct? I sometimes put in a brand of food and it's ten or twenty cals different than the generic. I know ... ten or 20 calories.. but when you are so close to those #'s down to that last 10 or 15 pounds, it makes a difference.. my goal is 134 (again) and 29% BF. - once I reach that, I really want to get to 128. I don't think I have been under 130 in my entire ADULT LIFE... I will never be "skinny". I am not that small - Right now I am at 142.8 and 33% BF. I drink a TON of water and a ton isn't enough... I wish I could just go back to the gym, have some fun.. my tale of woe.. Here for you so you can be here for me... :-)
