  • April start weight: 397.7 October start weight: 322.1 -- Oct 9th: 317.9 Oct 16th: 315.3 Oct 24th: 316.4 October goal: 312 I know I've been staying on track, so I'm pretty sure this is PMS week. 316 is actually the nicest thing the scale has said to me in days (I only log my weight once a week, but I check in on it 2-4…
  • April start weight: 397.7 October start weight: 322.1 -- Oct 9th: 317.9 Oct 16th: 315.3 October goal: 312 Surprised to see decent numbers this week, to be honest. I had a couple days where I went nearly 1000 calories over goal, so I figured I would be lucky to scrape by with a half pound loss. No objections from me that…
  • @NovusDies Oh, the 'watched' feeling was entirely in my own head! Especially since we have the ability to set our diaries as private. I just knew from past experience that I may not want to log everything as honestly as possible if I felt there was an audience. Now that I'm confident in what I'm doing and have developed my…
  • Hey everyone! I'm Stefani, and I'm 30 years old. I avoided the forums and adding any friends for the first 6 months of tracking calories (even went so far as to remove friends I still had from my last time on here in 2014), because I feared that feeling 'watched' would make me less honest with myself, but I'm in stride now…
  • Had a really good first week of October! On the 1st of this month I did lower my calorie intake by 100 a day (so 700 weekly) because I've been tracking my monthly losses and noticed the numbers slowing down just a bit more than I'm ready for at this point in my journey. I'm not even halfway through yet! So it was exciting…
  • Maybe just figure out your TDEE with the higher activity level, and use that new calorie range on work days?
  • Hey everyone! I've been tracking calories since April, and am determined to keep up the momentum! Height: 5'8" Start weight: 397.7 Current weight: 322.1 GW for end of October: 312 My weak spot is having a 300-ish calorie snack late at night, always pushing me a bit over calorie goal, so I'm going to try and have less of…
  • SW 397.7 CW 328 GW 164 I'm 5½ months in and have lost 70 pounds so far. I did this before in 2014 and lost 77 pounds before feeling like it was unsustainable and stopping. Determined to do better this time, but I deleted all my friends when I came back because I worried I wouldn't be as honest with myself (logging foods…
  • I'm in the same 350lb range now, and am losing 2-4 pounds a week while eating 2000 calories. This is my rate after slowing down a little from the first 2 months of losing 3-5 pounds a week. Although I don't believe this large loss of yours is anything to worry about, you can very likely still eat more each day and lose…
  • On average, 20 pounds. I started in a size 30, and after losing 75 pounds I am just now fitting into some size 22s. My mom is the same height as me, but weighs 25 pounds less and is also wearing size 22s still.
  • Same here! I thought I'd been too specific about the brand and flavor I was trying to enter, but even after I simplified it all the way down to just "corn" I still can't find anything.
  • My small clothes are "goal" clothing, not "shame" clothing! Why would I be ashamed that I'm working my way towards fitting into smaller sizes? Anything that I think I have at least 3 more months before I fit into are stored in a suitcase in the garage. Jeans that are only 1 size too small are pushed into the back of my…
  • SW: 348lbs CW: 304lbs UGW: 174lbs 174lbs to lose in total 130lbs left to lose! Very similar to many of you here! I'm going add several of you now. ^_^ Anyone is welcome to add me as well.
  • I started at 350 pounds at 5'10'', and am now 40 pounds down and perhaps half of a pants size. I can see SLIGHT differences if I compare photos of when I began and now, but there really haven't been any big changes, appearance-wise. My fat is definitely less dense now, I am much squishier now than I ever was, but my…
  • I haven't been particularly good or bad this week. I'm up 1 pound from my last "check-in" on here, and have been maintaining at that weight for the past 5 or so days. I'm going to really try to practice my self control today and tomorrow and see if that extra pound takes a couple friends with it when it leaves. But then I…
  • The ones that pop out and make you look like a Dragon Ball Z character actually make me shudder and I have to look away. I had a couple guy friends who would always flex around me because it freaked me out so much. But I mean, if you're buff, you're buff! As long as you don't actively try to make them pulse at me I can…
  • I'm just 5'10'', but with the large amount of weight I have to lose paired with my height, the weight loss really isn't noticeable yet. I've lost 35 pounds and have only gone down perhaps a half size in clothing. My waist is appearing again, but where my pants sit remains the same! I read someone else's post on here where…
  • I just had 2 days off from work and binged pretty terribly. I'm up exactly three pounds from the beginning of the week, but honestly I'm not too bothered. I know they'll come back off in a few days as long as I go back to my normal eating habits. I had fun eating lots of foods I "shouldn't', so I just can't bring myself to…
  • Oh hey! I'm also 25 and started my weight loss in January at 350-ish pounds! I've only lost 35 pounds so far, and yeah, I haven't gone down a single size yet. My fat is just squishier, haha. And my waist is coming back. You look so different though! A definite improvement, really good work. :D
  • I recently increased my daily calories to get me out of a rut, and I lost 4 pounds last week because of it. This week though, I went a little crazy with the increased calories and ate lots of cake and ice cream and cookies and got really bad at my logging. I record my weight separate from MFP in a spreadsheet once a month,…
  • I've lost 33 pounds since January, so I'm just a smidgen behind where I want to be, but I definitely feel that I can catch up. My most recent success was that I was hovering at 321-320 pounds for over 2 weeks, then I actually added about 500 calories per day to my goal, and I dropped down to 316 over the next week! I have…
  • Hello! My name is Stefani, I live in southern Washington state, and I'm 24 years old. I've been overweight my whole life, and although I certainly didn't LIKE being fat, it never actually bothered me enough to do anything about it before now. I happened to have a doctor's appointment the day before Thanksgiving last year,…
  • I have over 150 pounds to lose, and welcome any new friends! Everyone is welcome to add me. :)
  • I'm nearly 25 and have never wanted children, and am so happy to have a fiance that is also child free. We're waiting until we're married for him to get the vasectomy, but it is very much going to happen. I dislike children, don't really have the temperament to be a parent, and have pretty crummy genetics to boot. But…
  • I absolutely have to bathe in order to shave my legs, or I bleed everywhere and get ingrown hairs afterward. My legs need to be soaked in the hot water for 5-10 minutes before I even dare to start shaving. It really sucked when I was living in a dorm and only had a shower available! My legs were half mini-scabs where I had…
  • I don't have an answer for you, but I think I've got the same thing going on right now. I've always had stretch marks on my stomach anyway, but thought that once I began losing weight they would start to fade away. I've lost almost 20 pounds since January and have therefore not "stretched" in 3 months, and yet I am pretty…
  • My favorite soup is this Loaded Baked Potato Soup: http://centercutcook.com/ultimate-loaded-baked-potato-soup/ I swap out half of the milk for chicken broth to reduce calories and add flavor, and also reduce the butter from 2/3 cup to 1/2 cup. It works out to about 280 calories per cup of soup for me!
  • I mostly use a lot of herbs on mine for flavor, but teriyaki sauce has also been a favorite go-to.
  • I weigh around twice a week, though not always the same days. Mostly whenever I'm feeling curious, and think it's been long enough to see some progress (so 3-4 days). However, if I happen to weigh myself on a day where my weight is higher than last recorded, I will weigh myself the next day as well to see if it was just a…
  • I very rarely get my period because of the Depo shot, and I've only owned a scale for a few weeks, so when Aunt Flo DID visit me last week, I did weigh-in. It was discouraging to see the little bit of weight gain (though it was only 0.2 pounds over a full week) but I'm just sort of hoping that my weight loss this week will…
