If you want to do a low carb, high fat, high protein diet then look into a ketogenic diet. Do your research first, and decide if you want to do it. It worked good for me, while I was on it.

Protein, carbs, fat, any of it does not make you fat. What makes you fat is going over your maintenance calories on a daily basis.

I am on a CKD right now. Been doing keto for about three months now. I love it. Very easy to eat on, and hit your daily macros. I will not do it forever, but until I decide to bulk I am going to remain on it.

Good Looking. Intelligent- Don't have to be a rocket scientist, just not completely dumb. Must be able to cook. Must enjoy or at least can tolerate the same hobbies that I am in to. Not be very high maintenance. Have goals in life. hmmm.... maybe that's why I'm still single, I'm too picky. Oh well I enjoy the single life!

We grow a decent sized garden, Maters, squash, zucchini, green beans, corn, peppers, okra. I love fresh grown vegetables. My absolute favorite is, maters. I can eat them like apples, and I love a fresh mater sandwich with mayo, and black pepper!!

Great post! OP, follow these guidelines and you will gain muscle. Eating more then maintenance is what freaks people out. They think they will gain all there fat back, but that's the key to building muscle. Eat well, including protein, lift heavy, and rest plenty. Easy as that!

Here is my recipe, it's very simple. 1 heaping scoop of protein powder 2 to 3 eggs 1/2C old fashioned oats 1/2C water or milk, possibly a little more, you just have to eyeball the consistency.
