Oh wow, so mean. And you didn't flip them off?

Congrats on the weight loss so far. I wouldn't worry a lot about the macros unless you are way over on sodium or sugar. Kind of impossible for it to be perfect anyway, just keep close to them. And those who say 1200 net calories is not enough wouldn't say that if they were short, older, and have a desk job. Everyone is…

I am 5'1" and if I ate 1500 net calories a day I would gain. My maintenance is around 1400. I am 54 and post menopausal with a desk job so that makes a difference I'm sure.

I'm in. Lisa CW: 138 GW: 120

Try weighing again in a day or so. You don't know whether you are retaining fluid or not if you only weigh every 3 weeks. I am also short and at 1200 calories MFP says I will only lose a half pound a week. This is probably true for you also. You probably lost more at first and now it is slowing down. The same thing…

I'm so glad to see others who are short and also who are older and can't eat a lot. There are so many people on these forums that are extremely judgmental about low calories as if NO one could possibly survive on less than 1200. At my height and age my maintenance will only be around 1400 I am guessing IF I ever get to my…

Are you depriving yourself too much during the week? What is it about Saturday that causes the problem? Stop beating yourself up. It is almost like you are expecting Saturday to be your downfall. Start looking at it differently. Plan your meals for the weekend and give yourself a few small things you really enjoy. You can…

The only thing you can change in this situation is you. Because the other things in your life seem out of your control to you, try to seize the getting healthy for YOU and make it work. Start now, with your very next meal and make a plan to eat right. Plan your meals, even go ahead and log them beforehand to make yourself…

It doesn't look like you have a lot to lose so 3.5 pounds in 6 weeks is still a little over a half pound a week. You are making progress, just keep it up.

Sounds like eating better meals during the day might help. If I restrict myself early in the day I eat more at night always. Turn off the TV. Change up your routine. It takes awhile to kick those cravings for sweets but you CAN do it. You have to want to.

Oh Sylvia! How scary for you but so so glad you went to the ER. Take it easy and heal up fast. Figured out that I had been logging a food wrong (chose what I thought was the right brand) and was underestimating calories on something I have been eating off and on for the last month. Maybe that helps explain at least in part…

Thanks everyone. Having a rough time but I will push through.

I am seeing a lot of people saying that you must eat 1200 net calories a day or you won't lose. However, even with that amount (and I am now afraid to eat many of my exercise calories after seeing so many people say that is wrong on here) I am not losing this month. It says when I set my goals that I should lose only 0.6…

Hi! Thought I would jump in again this month. I tried to keep up last month and ended up giving up since I couldn't keep up with everyone and felt bad that I couldn't even comment on everyone else's posts. I will try to do better. January was a tough month for me. I didn't lose even a pound. I started out losing and then…

Sometimes weight loss does not change blood pressure readings enough to be in a safe level. But sometimes it does. I would encourage you to work hard to get to a healthy weight and see what that does but don't go too long with high blood pressure, it is dangerous to do so and very hard on your body.
-
Sorry I misunderstood. I guess my point was that sometimes when you are very short even 1200 net calories will only give you a half pound a week loss so if you go over that AT ALL you won't lose. Sucks to be short and older. Ask me how I know this.

I say wear what makes you feel good about yourself, not what everyone else is wearing necessarily. Remember that the only opinion that matters is your own. I try not to be tied down by what society thinks I should look or act like.

Unfortunately for some of us who are not very tall (I'm 5'1") 1200 calories only lets us lose a half pound a week. So you can't really say that it isn't enough. If I eat more than 1400 net calories a day I gain. That is just how it is for me. Back to the OP, you have to be aware of where you are so you can keep track of…

My doctor. He is probably the one that worries about it the most. LOL!

First off. Congrats for jumping back in again and working to lose that ten pounds. Second I really don't think it has been long enough for you to worry about it yet. Keep doing what you are doing and it will happen. It does look like you are consistently eating less than your set calories each day. Are you eating back any…

There is way too much out there. Stick with us here at MFP and it will happen!! Just try to stay away from as much processed food as possible, do some exercise that you enjoy, and log your food with MFP. Step away from Google........

I measure things but I don't weigh. I have lost 9 pounds so far and I know that if I was to obsess that much about things, I would quit. Why do I know this? This isn't my first rodeo with weight loss. I know what most things I eat weigh because I long ago determined a portion size. In the long run for me at least it is…

There is nothing wrong with your brain. But you need to stop feeling deprived. You can eat whatever you want if you eat in the right quantity. Yes, that piece of cheesecake or the wings are very high in calories. So, only let yourself have these on treat days. Or exercise like crazy to work off the calories. Just don't…

I haven't been there but I just want to say that feeding your body with the correct amount of calories from good foods should be your goal. No place in that for guilt. Every time a thought like that comes into your mind replace it with a positive thought like "I am getting healthier every day by eating to nourish my body."…

I was the same exact size at my highest weight and am the same height although older than you. And I ended up going because of elevated blood pressure so I commend you for recognizing that you needed to take a step to get your weight under control. Now as far as the obese classification... yeah... that's what the chart…

Good morning! Just weighed myself and stuck at the same weight for the last few weeks. I know I ate more than I should have so guess just maintaining. I set a goal to exercise every day and I am trying to weigh and track food more carefully. I do know I feel stronger when I exercise now so maybe I am gaining some much…

Did 45 minutes of Zumba tonight.

I am using Leslie Sansone, Zumba Fitness, and Shaun T Rockin Body DVDs and we are also doing some Richard Simmons at my exercise class. I find that all of them give me a good workout, some workouts on each DVD are tougher than others. Try a few different ones and see. But stick with them, they get easier once you get in a…

Good evening everyone! Had a good workout class this evening. Only 3 other ladies attended but I am determined to improve my fitness level this year so have not missed a class yet since it started in September. I am going to add more activity each day that I don't have class so I can hit my goals and hopefully lose weight…

Just did 15 minutes with Shaun T and 33 minutes boosted walking with Leslie Sansone. I plan to get on the exercise bike for a minimum of 15 minutes later this evening.
