I weigh every Friday morning. Moving from daily to weekly weigh-ins was one of the best things I ever did for my mental health! But that's just me of course...

It's really common. It takes some time for people to get used to changes like that. My mother-in-law has a 'subtle' feel for my ribs every time I hug her! If your BMI is healthy and you are happy with what you've achieved (congrats by the way) and your head is in the right place regarding food and weight, then they'll just…

I'm training for my first half-marathon in February. It's going to be cold and it's over an hour away from my home. My husband (who has a very stressful job) will definitely be there. It's my FIRST half marathon, which is a huge achievement, and he's very proud of me. If I was running them every other weekend, then it…

Haha, welcome to my world :)

Here's my latest squash experiment (I've tried to Americanise it where I can): Tagine of Butternut Squash, Shallots, Sultanas and Almonds (serves 4) 3 tbsp olive oil 12 shallots (peeled but left whole) 8 garlic cloves (lightly crushed) 120g sultanas 120g flaked or blanched almonds 1-2 tsp harissa paste depending on…

However it was meant, she means nothing to you, a complete stranger. What matters is how you feel about yourself. You should be proud of what you've achieved and you should be the one making choices about what you eat. Have some faith in yourself and value your opinion above that of some snide / insensitive woman you don't…

One of the best transformations I've seen on here - you look fab!

I'm 5'7" and weigh 148lbs (from 215lbs a year ago). Target is 145lbs and I think I'll look and feel about right at that weight. My calorie target is 1700 per day and I do eat my exercise calories back (measured with a HRM, not MFP). I'm set to lose 0.5lbs/week, and am actually losing a bit more than that on average.

The food plan sounds OK, but you need to weigh your food and therefore be sure of the calorie intake. Are you weighing the chicken? How much couscous, how much porridge? I know from experience that cereal portions are actually really small compared to what I was having.

Nuts. As a vegetarian, that'd be really helpful...

Another vote for silicone. I went through the same process of them sticking to tins and then to muffin cases.

Great job! I ran in the 4pm race at Brighton! It was not my first 5K, but it was the first one I signed up for back in May - so it was technically the one that got me started! It was fantastic fun, would highly recommend. :)

Fantastic! Reality is rarely as bad as our fears. Well done!

One-derland posts are some of my favourite on MFP - many congratulations!

Yep, it gets pretty messy with me too. I figure, so long as I'm not actually flicking sweat onto other gym members, it's not their business and they shouldn't care.

If my MFP friend eats a fast food meal once in a while but stays roughly at their target calories I will congratulate them - they are losing weight their way, and so long as they're eating enough to meet their nutritional needs, good on them. If they have a rough day and go way over, but are honest with themselves and…

Great job! Your approach sounds very sensible and you've achieved excellent results already!

I don't know if this is the best way to do it, but I just find my previous post and use the Quote option. Then I remove the quote and /quote (in square brackets) from the new post and add my update. If you did want to copy and paste, there's a link to all your recent forum posts at the bottom left of your profile page. Not…
