So sorry you've all been through that. My husband's family seem to think it's OK to comment on my weight / eating pretty much every time I see them: - Grandma: <huge sigh> what happened to that beautiful, slim girl at your wedding? - Grandma also takes big, audible, intakes of breath if I have seconds of anything,…

Yep 0% - great way to up my protein on days when I'm running out of calories.

If using MFP recommendations for calorie consumption, then you are supposed to eat your exercise calories too (i.e. the 2000 figure in your example). However, if also using MFP estimates of exercise calories burned, they may be inaccurate. Many people on here recommend eating back half your exercise calories, to allow a…

Cottage cheese, Quorn, chickpeas... To top up the protein when I haven't got a lot of calories left - fat free Greek yogurt.

Yes, it's natural to be upset by their comments. But it doesn't mean you have 'issues'; the 'issues' are all theirs. You look great, spot on!
-
Wonderful - you have done a great job so far - those last few kilos better run for the hills 'cos you look determined!

It was complicated and messy, and we were about 20. He knew his parents would be devastated if he was with a white girl (he was/is Indian), and his brother had married a white girl and broken his mum's heart. I'm not saying they had the right attitude, but it was what it was. While he was away from home, at uni with me, he…

Yeah - bit of a mystery, but I've found estimates all over the place, and all seem really high. All I know is if I do a liveaboard (3-4 dives per day for a week) I lose weight, even though I eat and drink like a demon!

Hiking, Scuba diving, Horse Riding, Bokwa!

No, not exactly. But I've noticed I tend to attract older men for some reason. I did once have a housemate tell me he'd have asked me out if I was thinner (I wouldn't have wanted him to, and his BMI was probably higher than mine at the time!). I was dumped due to my race once (well, three times by the same person actually).

My team is in the league below (the Championship), but it has been an amazing season in the Premier League, even down to who qualifies top four for Europe, and the relegation battle.

Being vegetarian may be useful if you have a weakness for particularly calorific meat-based foods (I'm thinking the stuff that generally comes under the heading 'junk') and want to cut them out wholesale from your diet rather than simply cutting down. However, vegetarianism brings with it its own challenges. Getting enough…

Thank you! End-October 2013 I realised things had to change and got started (so just over six months now). I found MFP in mid-December 2013, it's been life-changing. :)

Looking forward to seeing you into Onederland :) SW 215 CW 172 End-May 167

Great read and great results - so pleased for you with what you've achieved, and also that you've done it early, with your whole life ahead of you!

Fantastic results!!!

FIFY - great progress, can really see a change.

I have a band around the top of my left arm. I've had it for over 15 years but got it re-inked about four years ago. It certainly looks less distorted now I've lost a few pounds. When I reach my first goal weight I am going to get a tribal-style sea turtle, or perhaps a paw-print... can't decide.

All coming back now: when I was about 17 my boyfriend's father called me Mr Blobby (a UK TV character) in front of the boyfriend and his mother. The boyfriend (and the mother) did nothing, which is what hurt more. Finished cleansing now. Over and out. :ohwell:

Oh and I must give special credit to someone on here who, in a discussion about body shape and muscle where I said that I had about 50lbs to lose but was already pretty muscular (due to my job) and doubted I would need much more muscle: "50 lbs? how could you tell if you need more muscle or not? You can't see the ones you…

Well this took an unexpectedly pleasing turn...

The UK one I looked at was 1200. I was wondering about it too (I'd have to top it up as I'm on 1650 calories at the moment). So interested to see people's experiences.

((hugs)) It hurts so much, but it will get better, and at some point you'll realise you haven't thought about him for an hour, an afternoon, a day, a week... Don't blame yourself. It's not that you weren't 'good enough' for him. Break-ups happen - not many are lucky enough to find their prince without kissing a few frogs…

What a transformation already! Great job!

I signed up for something called Bokwa. I have no idea what it is, but it sounded interesting!:ohwell:

An alternative would be to start with something lower impact such as the Leslie Sansone walking videos, which you can find on YouTube. I have a slightly dodgy knee and am not too confident about running on it. The Leslie stuff you do in your front room and you can adjust the impact of it according to how your joints (or…
