Portion control.

Get rid of the scale. Let's be simple about it, shall we? You already recognise that you're changing for the good. Keep tracking your calories, continue to exercise, then maybe check in on your long-lost friend in 2 weeks. Would that be reasonable?
-
You're being self-aware and you're making choices/changes to fit what your goals are in the future. Good for you! Looking at the 600+ calorie increase from a year ago and how you're handling it all so well is quite the accomplishment on your part. You're tops in my book!

What?

With the same week span of eating the "same thing", my weight fluctuates between 1-5 lbs. That's normal. You will lose; you will gain. That's normal. If you're looking to consistently lose, then continue to eat at a calorie deficit or compensate by exercising (the better option). Then remain patient. If after a few weeks…

In my daily/weekly menu, I'll usually have: Greek yoghurt pot = 12g protein (so many flavours!) Home made bean soup = 13g protein (I can msg recipe if interested) Hard boiled egg = 6g protein (not meat yet, anyway) Wheat germ = 4g protein (grandfather got me hooked at age 4) Shrimp (3oz) = 18g protein (you could even coat…

Brilliant job! My second favourite part of the pics are (i) overweight sistrsprkl in front of a stand mixer and (ii) exercise sistsprkl just before showering after a workout. Now that's the way it should be!

OP listed the website in their original post. Acg67 simply posted the entire link so others could find more data. What is the concern in that?
-
OP was asking a rhetorical question, I believe. This is why he posed the question (for interest) in the forum, and followed up (sardonic) in the actual thread. My my, some of these MFP sound as though they need some counselling for anger. And for the man who advised carbs made him fat and diabetic ... regardless of…

To sound harsh ... "he" needs to shut it and grow up, unless you're speaking of a 4 year old. Mind you, if you're dating an adult acting like a 4 year old, then probably best to either rethink your options or give him a swift kick. Preferably in the bollocks, but in the head works nearly as well. A ninja kick. If you're…

For me, it was important to laugh when I didn't complete an exercise in the beginning. This kept me from feeling upset that I'd not "succeeded", which was quite silly really, because simply doing it was a success. Laugh, exercise, laugh, exercise. So much more fun.

What a lovely story! Thank you for sharing, flower.

Guacamole as a meal = 1 whole avocado, garlic, lemon juice, cracked black pepper, fresh coriander + a few Triscuits. Holy crap, this is a filling and delicious meal for tea or even a light dinner. All good for you. If you're looking to lose weight, then simply count your calories and you can fit one, whole avocado (or…

^^ Tummy looks better. Possible muffin top in the first is less in the second, pretty lady.

If you lost it once, then you can lose it again. At least you know that you have the motivation and desire to do it. Some people never think they have it and never even try. As the previous poster stated, "Life happens" and that is quite alright. You'll have your "ups" and "downs" but those are part of the journey. The…

Bahahaaa! This man is hilarious!

Lifting builds muscle. Muscle helps "keep your fat where it should be". Let's make this more simple -- exercise is good for you. Once you get in the swing of things, you'll find its' benefits. Eating healthily and exercise will help you accomplish your goals. So the question stands: "How important are your goals?"
-
You know the instructor is amazing when they look sceptical at your challenge. Good for you though! Keep pushing through. Challenging ourselves is the most important part, and you're a brilliant example.

If you're looking for quick and make you feel full, the market has bags of "steamed veg". I purchase the broccoli, which is a full 4 servings, 100 cal, 5 min microwave/2 min eat, super nutritious. I usually top mine with hot sauce. Other than that, I snack on bananas all day long because they're filling, inexpensive, and…

But you CAN eat all day as long as you either exercise it away or make choices of food which come within your calorie intake. For example, I've tucked into 8 "meals" today, most of which were small and nutritious. Because I'm eating all day, then I never feel hungry. Have you given this a go?

If you can't find peace, then you can't help others find it either. Do what's best for you first. Then you can help them find assistance. If you starve yourself to feed the needy children, then both of you die in the end. (That sounded a bit harsh, but I believe the point was taken.)

I'm so glad I am a man. Not taking the mick, just saying for my next statement because it's so much easier for us to rationalise. Take it for face value if coming from a guy. What do I mean? For example, "I need you as much as you need me" doesn't mean "because you don't love me has led me to the decision to give up on our…

Not having an ED makes it difficult for me to understand how serious your trigger foods are, but I thought why not the extra comment. I just don't purchase certain foods which I know I'll finish quickly. For example, I don't purchase chocolates, pre-packaged snacks, cheese, etc to bring home any more. Why? Because I'd eat…

I eat 5-8 bananas a day. That's nigh on 500-850 calories a day. Would 500-850 calories make a difference in your weight loss? I think so. Log everything regardless of gain or loss. It'll help you track your progress if that's where you're on this site.

Why not just start over? It's only 60 days.
-
If you've been doing this for 5 full months already, then you probably don't have to continue to count, plan your day around workouts, or play mental games. By this time, you should have built a habit out of realising what is eating healthier/proper portions, already generated a routine, and understood that it's not a game…

Valid point, love. I stand corrected.
