doing 1400 calories a day and not losing anything

I'm frustrated, just weighed myself and gained back 2 of the sad 3 lbs I have lost. I am staying on a average of 1400 calories and below my carbs, and walking at least 30 mins a day. Am I needing to do something else or is this thing not accurate?

How long has it been since the loss / regain ?

To gain 2lbs, you'd have to have eaten 7,000 calories OVER your TDEE. It's most likely water weight attributed to sodium intake.

    Drink lots of water.

Weigh your food (you might be overestimating 1400 kcals worth).

    Be patient.

    Weight loss is not linear.....

Are you accurately measuring and recording your calories consumed? Many people screw this up and eat far more calories per day than they realize. Weigh, measure, don't eyeball. You also don't indicate how long you've been at this. Be patient. I, personally, recommend staying off the scale for the most part and getting on it only every 2-3 weeks. Daily fluctuations are common and, while nothing to freak out about, are difficult for some people to take without throwing in the towel.

With the same week span of eating the "same thing", my weight fluctuates between 1-5 lbs. That's normal. You will lose; you will gain. That's normal. If you're looking to consistently lose, then continue to eat at a calorie deficit or compensate by exercising (the better option). Then remain patient. If after a few weeks you're still not losing, then perhaps you're not accurately accounting the entire calorie intake. If this is a concern, then purchase a food scale and count everything.

Do you weigh all solid foods and measure liquids? If not you may be eating 10-50% more than you think you are (1540-2100)

    QFT

For example my first week I lost 4....my second week I gained 7....my third week I lost 5 ....my fourth week I lost 2 = net loss of 4 lbs in month 1

Some of your vital statistics would help to evaluate your situation. Height, weight, gender, how long have you been doing this?

Also, how many calories to you log for your calorie burns from 30 minute walks?
