Lovely response! I tend to eat back around 50% and still lose consistently.

I walk on the treadmill 5 to 6 times per week for 30 to 45 minutes (brisk pace) and also lift weights for my arms (10 minutes every second day) and do toning exercises for my legs (including squats, deadlifts and lunges with weights) also every second day. Seeing what you all are doing I dont know if I am doing enough!

I get panic attacks and I have generalized anxiety disorder and depression - have had for over 10 years now. I am on an anti depressant called Leximal (Essitalopram) to treat it, but by far what worked for me was going to cognitive behavior therapy. This teaches you the tools to cope properly (without pills) when an attack…

Feel free to add me - I am a working mom of a 4 year old. I work out 6 days per week - usually 20-30min cardio per day Mon-Fri and 40min plus on a Saturday (treadmill). Three times per week I also throw in about 20 minutes strength training (free weights) All done at home as I cannot afford gym - but luckily hubby will…

I nearly peed my pants - does laughing burn calories? If so, Thanks so much for this!

Thank you so much for answering my question - I think I am going to do the same - cardio mostly and then get back into weight training to tone myself up. Thanks again for the inspiration - Its funny, I am sure you never thought your struggle, the years of hard work, the sweat, the tears and ultimately your success would…

I set my activity level to sedentary and then I only add exercises I plan to do - as in only time on the treadmill (20min min) or lifting (and lifting doesn't give you any extra calories to munch) - I don't add anything else - to me that's just 'living' - not working out.
-
I like anything with 135 bpm or above for doing my cardio - thats mostly dance songs but some metal has 135bpm as well - eg bodies by drowning pool - love it! Or Dragula by Rob zombie. I don't listen to music when I lift weights - Its sad but I need to consentrate then as I am so new to lifting and music distracts me!

Im on 1200 Breakfast usually 2 boiled eggs or an egg white omlette with mushrooms and spinach or fat free plain yoghurt with apple and cinnamon (add sweetner if desired) I also have at least one cup of coffee with 2% milk Lunch depends - I will either have lean protein and salad or veg or I will have a lean protein salad…

Oh my, I didn't know there was a difference! We get 'yams' in South Africa but they are called sweet potatoes here - the flesh is a whitish yellow colour and the skins are a purply brown colour. I must take a picture and submit so you guys can see. I think I will log my sweet potatoes as yams from now on to be on the safe…

I made chicken 'burgers' - a whole chicken breast (pound till flat), season with dried herbs, garlic and cayenne pepper. Fry in a non stick pan - adding lemon juice if it sticks at any point. Spread with a very thin layer of fat free plain yoghurt, top with tomato, onion, sliced pickles and wrap in a large lettuce leaf -…

@earlnabby I am using the MFP database as my calorie burn baseline - it is usually slightly less than what the treadmill says and I try to eat back just less than half of the extra calories 'earned'. A big thank you to everyone for taking time to read my post and assist me! You guys are so great, the support here is…

I never really thought about this...I am going to have to thank my hubby when he gets home! Hubby has never actually said anything about my weight - even when I got grossly overweight. He still just kept loving me and supporting me. When I decided I wanted to lose weight he went out and bought the food scale, measuring…

Thanks I am a doofus - now I understand! I thought you had to consume 1200 cals regardless of exercise!

I am doing cardio interval training on the treadmill. Walk at 6km/hr for 1 minute and run at 8km/hr for one minute - I do this for 30 - 45 minutes and do a basic weight lifting routine 3 times per week (I know, I know, I wont build muscle in a deficit but my strength is increasing as I can lift heavier weights now). It is…

Wow, I hope to be writing a success story post just as you have! Really inspirational - I am actually tearing up and really motivated by your journey! I started my journey at 201 pounds, and I am only 5 foot 5! I am now down to 178 pounds and goal is 143/147 pounds - still heavy for my frame but I was at a happy…

Awesome thread! I have hypothyriodism (Take Eltroxin) and also anxiety so my cortisol levels are always high event though I take Leximal (an antidepressant to help with the anxiety) I also find that when I am particularly stressed I gain - but, and I cannot say this enough, as with the thryriod problem it isn't a whole…

I have the opposite to OP. I've had Hashimoto's thyroiditis (hypothyroidism) for the last 6 years and take a medication called Eltroxin - I have to get my levels checked every 6 months so they can adjust the dose. So far they have upped the dosage only twice in those 6 years. I do find that if the dose is too low my…

Waking heart rate 32, resting heart rate 40/45 - I have been diagnosed with bradycharida, when working out my heart rate can go safely to 150 or more with no problems according to my cardiologist

Loving the replies in this thread! I have been asking about weight lifting for women for a while now and got some really nice advice. I started lifting following some arb program I found on the internet but I actually need to get that NROL4W book. My hubby suddenly started lifting again when he saw me lifting (ha ha…

I have 2 cats and a big dog so they love to get the yolks I am not eating or I make an omlette the next day for my hubby who loves the yolks. When I am making an omlette for myself I usually have one yolk and the rest whites or if I am eating boiled eggs I have one white and one whole.
-
Sounds great - I have seen similar with 2 whole eggs - not as low in calories but keeps you full for ages

Thanks so much Ladies, must order my book asap!

Oh wow, thanks for the laughs - love it!

Here is a pic So its ones you can add your own weight to as you progress I have weights from 1.25kg up to 25kg (doubles of each so you can put one on each end) Any exercises I put on here without a weight next to it are ones I do with no weights Again as you can see I am clueless so I really don't mind - all info, tips or…

I lost 12 kilograms on WW, I gained it back slowly over the years and after the birth of my son because I stopped tracking. The nice thing about weight watchers is you do start to think about everything as 'points' so you do end up tracking in your mind so you are actively thinking about everything you eat and you can…

Love this idea, I do it as well and at the end of the day just before bed I have a full glass of water and then decide if I am going to have that snack or not...by then I am usually full and I am too tired to grab that treat anyway. I also 'bank' calories during the week - by eating under my goal and exercising, I will…
