I didn't think I would feel so peculiar, when it came time to donate my clothes, but I mustered up the courage to get rid of 10 articles of clothing. So much more to go!

I was in my easy chair and my dog was rolling around on her back in front of me. Without thinking, I leaned all the way forward and rubbed her belly. I haven't been able to do that in quite some time. She was surprised, but begged for more attention.

One of the hardest things about eating healthy will be when I start dating again. I don't even want to think about how many calories, fat, and carbs were in some of my favorite meals to make. I guess, I better start practicing now. Maybe I can rework some of my old favorites.

Oh, I thought it was just me. I was at Kohl's last week and I put on a long waisted all over control shaper. As I got it past my thighs, hips and finally to my belly - my belly fat kept rolling higher and higher. I finally gave up, but I just might try the all in one shaper next month.

Hi, I am doing my version of OptiFast. The shakes I am using are similar in nutrient quality, but they are not OptiFast. I am using Atkins bars, bc they are accessible. I have the clinician's guide that explains the whole program, but some of the U.K. language is throwing me off. Do they really want us to put diet jelly in…

I might need a new bathrobe soon - this robe used to fit fine with a couple of inches to spare up front. Now the overlaps are almost wrapping around my back. This is exciting!

That is sad, Uncle Mac But it is becoming clearer to me every day - that I can barely take care of myself. I don't mean anything bad by that. I just mean, I used to cook, clean, grocer, errands and work 4 professional jobs. Now I am about twice that age and I'm sure I didn't have nearly enough self care. So right now I am…

Thank you for sharing your story. The last part really did make me laugh out loud. Laugher is healthy. E.

Uncle Mac, When I first met my former sister in-law she looked 20 years younger than she was actually! The whole family seemed wired that way. Upon my divorce, my former husband finally promised to eat better and he looked amazing! His sister died two months later. So, reach out and see if he will take your advice. Be well.

Are the velvet lined hangers longer?

I bought some of my clothes at a local thrift store or Walmart. I love the idea of big city shopping at goal weight. For me, it would be another 50 or 60 pounds. But I really like the clothes in San Francisco.
