  • Honestly I think you'll still lose with 1600 at a good rate. I'm 5'2.5 134lbs and I lose at 1500 which is not much lower than your given amount and I average 10-14k steps a day and do about 30-40minutes bodyweight strength exercises 3x a week using the NTC app.
  • I have not logged in maintenance before and have always maintained my weight years at a time (I've gained weight with pregnancies only) So for me I do eat intuitively at goal weight and always stop eating when satisfied (not overly full or stuffed, I hate that feeling honestly). This doesn't work for everyone so I'm not…
  • Fitnessblender on YouTube is great too for variety. I also own many workouts through beachbody.com :)
  • I'm not sure...my body works towards my deficit...then I maintain there eventually. I feel like I'm in control of this ship, if I want my weight a few lbs lower than before that's my choice etc. I won't stop until I'm happy...if you're happy then keep on maintaining. :)
  • I have tiny hands and "piano" fingers...long and skinny....based off of this I would starve trying to eat this way :D
  • I can honestly say I've drank it....the most I can credit to it was an increase in energy. I felt like when I was drinking it daily within a 3hr period I would feel an energy rush...was it ACV? Who knows...but that was the only variable that was different day to day for me, as far as weight loss....it was CICO all the way…
  • OP I weigh every time I pass my scale too lol....but I try to refocus when I see gains and use it as motivation to keep going. I try not to obsess but in some weird way it fascinates me to see the normal ebb and flow of the day :D
  • I go to a restaurant just about every Saturday night (date night). I fast throughout the day so I can enjoy myself, so I don't know if that still qualifies as "cheat meal" because I still end up with a deficit for the day. Either way it keeps me sane and helps me retain my normal schedule :)
  • OP I'm the same way...I get up early and feel sick at the thought of eating...I've always been this way even as a child. So I pack myself 1 of either a packet of instant grits, a homemade 100 calorie blueberry muffin (recipe from pinterest), or an egg scramble (looks like an egg muffin...recipe may be from skinnytaste.com…
  • OP I find myself in the same boat, I was eating about 1200 a day but burning much more on my fitbit leading to 1000 calorie deficit days. I also do a day of maintenance on the weekends....so far my loss has been 1-3lbs a week....3 lb loss continually on the scales made me drop to a 1.5lb a week deficit, this has helped…
  • Well I appear to be an outlier here....I weigh often...a couple times a day if I'm home, like the weekends. I just like seeing the numbers fluctuate throughout the day, it helps me not panic when things go up and down from day to day. It calms me in some weird way. I only log my weight from Monday's and I never count a…
  • This is totally me...if I don't give myself a portion of what I'm actually craving I will overeat the *kitten* out of my "healthy foods" and still be over calories...I've learnt to just give myself a little of what I want and then I'm fine and done.
  • The good news is you've already lost weight once...which means you know what works. I'm losing after my 3rd baby...so it's my 3rd time having to drop 40+ lbs....what worked before and has always worked is working yet again for me...counting calories and walking around more :) good luck to you both!
  • I live in New Orleans....so drinking, I know lol. I stick with clear liquors....vodka is my go to, but if you don't want something that hard I stick with white wines. I still manage to lose weight and I drink a few times a week, either way chances are if you're counting the calories you will be fine :)
  • I used to use the free online WW calculators and follow the plan freely...I had lost 40lbs after baby #1, then after babies #2 &3 I've counted calories and have similar success. WW was good for me as it was less of a trigger for me to under eat (I never wanted to come under my points) calorie counting can be a trigger…
  • These are the days I add alcohol...am I really the only one :D In all seriousness reach for more calorie dense foods.
  • I weigh every day...when there is a consistent drop in weight (two days in a row at same weight) I log it :)
  • You look FABULOUS! Thanks for sharing your story :)
  • Your body doesn't tell time...it's fine!
  • My Dr.'s are always surprised by my BP. I have low BP with a high pulse...always have had it...always will. I'm not anemic anymore since BP...just suffer from chronic low pressure. I will say you are less likely to lose consciousness (I hemorraghed after my first baby and was in shock by medical standards and remained…
  • I'm thinking something like "Holy Water" pills....ehh maybe that's the Catholic in me :D
  • I track everything but spices, this has worked for me...as far as your tomatoes go, can you weigh them and then search for the weight and log that? If not I'll google calories in X grams of canned tomatoes and use that as a last resort :)
  • Ok...so I worked for 6 surgeons at one point in my life...I understand the constant stream of free lunches, catered lunches, free treats. The reality of it is, you have to want weight loss more than the constant indulgence. My mindset at first was...it's free I HAVE to eat it....yeah reality is you dont. I had to train…
  • This is for you, this is your journey. Do not feel ashamed, but only tell people what you're comfortable telling them. Some people in my life know I'm actively losing weight, some people don't, but have noticed and have commented on it. I just thank them for their comments and move along :)
  • I have NEVER EVER been a morning exerciser...EVER lol...I always workout after work...which is 4pm for me...this works out perfectly for me because I can't workout after eating too much and at this time enough hours have passed from lunch so that I don't feel queasy :)
  • For me it's mostly about boredom....I eat on a schedule during the day...I'm a teacher so my schedule is tight, but during the summers I don't gain if I keep busy, but if I'm bored during the summer days...ahh I want to eat it all :) Do you keep busy on your days off?
  • Just wanted to say Congrats on the loss :)
  • I workout for strength/definition...I honestly don't track calories burned, because I know it to be sometimes inaccurate and I'm not doing cardio at the gym.
  • Unfortunately for me it's a real issue. I'm a recovered anorexic and once I start with a calorie restriction I have to remind myself to eat...I don't feel a lot of hunger cues...not saying that's the same for you OP, but there are days I could eat 600 calories and not "feel" hungry...meanwhile I may be lightheaded or feel…
  • I don't track it...this past Friday was Good Friday and where I live that means it was boiled crawfish Friday...yeah I probably consumed a weeks worth of sodium in ONE meal lol, but I'm not worried. The scale didn't even budge even though I expected it too rise with extra water weight....I should note I typically do not…
