  • I am the same as the poster above me, `126-132lbs is my happy range, anything below that is just too low for me :).
  • Yes and no, my reply is similar to others here. If I ate what I wanted everyday I would have diabetes, no teeth and I would be obese. I eat what makes me feel happy, if eating a bowl of porridge means I will feel fuller and more energetic at work (but not taste great) then yeah I will. I also have a planned treat each week…
  • I have worked In my current place of work for nearly a year and half and not once have I eaten out of the canteen. This is partly because I do shift work and its never open, but also because I don't want to pay good money to eat bad food.
  • Mine is 127lbs to 133lbs, its what I feel happy with :).
  • Haven't read the forum posts (read page 1 :P) but this whole thread is similar to what I do. I eat a very clean diet, lots of fruit, veg, water, whole grains, good protein sources. However everyday I let myself have 1 square of chocolate or 3 sweets of my choice. Then for my *cheat meal* of the week I will pick something…
  • I eat less on rest days because I figure I won't be needing the calories as much as when I have non rest days. For example tonight I have 2hrs of karate, so I will have an extra 200 calories. Tomorrow I have nothing apart from work so I will just eat my minimum :)
  • I weigh myself everyday and record it. I find it helps me get back on track. I find for me, if I don't weigh myself very often I have a tendency to get lazy on go off course. A couple of years back the scales at my gym didn't wasn't there for like a month, without regular weigh ins, I gained quite a bit. So for peace off…
  • Looking good, keep up the awesome work
  • I am an expert at this, wait a few days to recover from exams. Then start slowly and build it up. Start with tracking what you eat, then deciding on calorie goals and how much exercise is doable for you're schedule.
  • Hi, I will add you as a friend as I love to post crap and have people to sorta listen to it :P.
  • Greetings, I too am a fellow scientist. I shall add you :).

  • For me, I weigh myself every morning, have a calorie limit for the day and exercise. I basically do the same as if I was dieting but I am not as strict as I was when trying to loose weight. I also have one cheat meal at the weekend. I don't go mad, just generally go to a restaurant on a Friday or a Saturday with my…
  • desire:wink:
  • Hi, I am new too, I post a lot so i'll add you, yay friends :)
  • If you are going to go veggie be prepared to buy lots of low fat dairy, tofu, pulses, wholegrains and protein shakes to keep those protein levels up. Going veggie will only help you loose weight if you watch what you eat.
  • I would say stick to what it took to loose the weight as the cheat meal will stop you from disappearing, you can afford to miss exercise here and there and it won't harm you too much.
  • I am a lacto vegetarian and find it tough. Protein shakes are my best friend!
  • I'll add you as I am new too :)
  • I find that vigorous activity with music you like is more therapeutic than any amount of food. In fact if you are really tense, it helps to get all the bad emotions out while feeling good in yourself :).
  • I agree, I think 2hrs of exercise to try and loose weight is a bit unnecessary.. It is also totally not doable long term. Weight loss isn't a quick fix, it is change of lifestyle. It has to be a change which you can reasonably do long term. Also 1600 seems a bit high for weight loss. Perhaps try 1200 cals a day, watch the…
  • I feel the same as a lot of people here. I still feel self conscious at times , like my stomach is still my bad area. I still have that weird boob thing at the top of my arms. I also find the extra male attention hard to deal with. I agree with others, sometimes it is nicer to be bigger are you are sorta more invisible to…
  • One of my favourite things to do in the world, is to get a new album, upload it to my music device and then spend my entire workout getting lost in the album. It is really relaxing and it allows me to do things at once, work on my body and work on my music knowledge.
  • Regardless off my shifts I tend to eat the same, just at different hours. I eat a 5:2 diet and my *fast days* are always Monday/Wednesday, my higher days are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. I do find it hardest to eat on the night shift as I always am up for a lot of hours the day before. When doing night shift I am sure I…
  • You look amazing, well done :)
  • I can relate to this, I went home for easter and I went mad the scales are up. It is a bit disenheartening but what others said is right its not as bad as it could be. Sometimes we need these set backs to keep us focused on our weight loss goals. At the end of the day loosing weight and keeping it off isn't just a quick…
