loose weight after exams

My exams are coming up and after I would like to loose fat and mabye gain muscle.

Can anyone recommend a dvd/workout for beginners, mainly cardio but with some muscle built in.

    You won't gain much (if any) muscle doing mainly cardio. Muscle building requires following a progressive strength training programme, most commonly using barbel weights and doing compound lifts like squats and deadlifts.

    If you don't have access to free weights you could try a body weight programme such as Convict Conditioning.

    If your goal is fat loss, eat at a deficit to lose weight, and strength train to preserve existing muscle mass.

    I am an expert at this, wait a few days to recover from exams. Then start slowly and build it up. Start with tracking what you eat, then deciding on calorie goals and how much exercise is doable for you're schedule.
