Hi everyone. I'm down 1 pound in 1 week - which puts me on track to reach my goal!!!! Now I need to keep it going. Cause where my weight is now, I've been hovering for 3 months or more. I lose 1, gain 1, etc. Have to lose, and lose again, and lose again. These last 10 pounds!!!!!!!!

Wow! Thanks everyone for the great advice!!!! I ended up buying a fantastic black suit (with skirt) at Banana Republic and a pastel pink fitted blouse. It fits great, and looks really "SHARP." Even though I'm not typically a suit girl, I think you are all right - this occasion calls for a classic, professional look. I…

I'm having the same problem with mine. Sometimes it takes me 4 or 5 tries to get a heart rate reading. I've had it now for about 7 months, and never had a problem until recently. I called Polar, and they told me to put it in the washing machine. He said it was important to keep the strap clean. I run the little "conductor"…

I love reading these types of posts. So interesting how so many can be the same height and weight, and totally different sizes!!! I'm 5'7" I weigh 158 pounds, and am in a size 8 or 10, and size Medium tops. Goal: 145 - 150 pounds, size 6 or 8. So close, but yet so far. :blushing:

I can totally relate. I love to work out, and do it regularly!! Then I too, want to eat and eat. I feel like I've only "conquered" half of this problem. I've got the exercise thing, now if I could get a hold on the eating thing. You're not alone.:blushing:

Interesting explanation!! Thanks. I get kind of surprised when I hold up my new smaller-sized pants - my brain hasn't quite realized that this body can actually fit into them. Weird.

Greek yogurt, or cheese stick usually do the job for me. Or some Cocoa Roasted almonds. :drinker:

I used to hide food too, and sneak it, and eat it in my car, and hide the "evidence." - Who was I fooling?? Like just because people didn't see me eating it, they couldn't see the extra 40 pounds on my body???? Just fooling ourselves, really. I'm glad to be done with this too. I feel much more "free" now. I just posted on…

Me too!!!! It says it all. It feels so good to look into a mirror now, and not hear all the negative self-talk. Whhhewww!!! :drinker:

Check the amount of fiber. I can't eat anything with more than 2 or 3 grams of fiber per serving. If I do, my stomach gets all grumbly, bloated, gassy, etc. I cannot tolerate too much fiber. Just a thought.

Wow!!! Congratulations on 1 year!!!! You have done an amazing job. Keep up the great work. You look fantastic!!! :drinker:

Hi! I'm in Redding.

Try to think of Thanksgiving, for example - as ONE MEAL - Not one day of bad choices, or one week, or one month (Thanksgiving to Christmas). It really is only one meal. So even if you don't make the best choices, it's just one meal. It's when we keep it going (for a week or more) when we get in trouble. I remember this…

That's a really good point!!!!

bump for later. (running my first 5k Thanksgiving day)
