I definitely have a long walk with the dog planned earlier that day for sure! But it's nice to play it safe because I don't always stop drinking after the drinks I had planned lol!

It's so good! I love me some beer, and Blue Moon is definitely one of the better options available around here.

Is there a really noticeable taste difference between diet and regular tonic water?

I cut coffee and instead drink tea now. Honestly, I'd recommend it. It's nice being able to wake up and function under your own energy and not require an outside source. It makes exercising in the morning easier (no caffeine headaches to worry about). And now if I'm really tired and do want a cup of coffee, that coffee…

I started a couple weeks ago at 252 and have lost ten pounds, but still have a ways to go with my goal being 130. Trying to eat better and keep processed foods to a minimum, but I'm horrible at tracking. I have a tendency to track really well throughout the day, and then not track my evening meal and snacks (especially if…

Walking is always good. Low impact, and you can turn around whenever you start to feel tired. I also started doing kettlebells, which are great because there are free videos online (I use this one with like...5 and 10 lb kettlebells). You don't have to leave your house, it doesn't involve a lot of jumping or anything, it's…

It's hard! I did my first workout yesterday, and it was just a 10 minute video with 5 lb and 10 lb kettlebells, and I gave up after 8 minutes because my arms were exhausted. Mind you, I haven't exercised in years, so you might be starting off in a different place than I was, but damn. My upper arms are feeling it today!

I read it as asking for advice regarding essential oils, but I definitely see how it can be viewed as trying to sell something. Interesting.

I don't use it for weight loss, but I do use essential oils in other areas of my life. I have PCOS, and moisturizing with evening primrose oil and spot treating with tea tree oil have gotten rid of a good majority of acne breakouts that not even birth control could touch. A coworker who was pregnant said only a certain oil…

Haha you're welcome! :P

I also found out on Monday I have PCOS. I'm 5'6'' and weight 252 pound (yikes!), At just 28, I'm kind of freaked out because it's the first time I've seen my weight having direct consequences to my health, and I do hope to have kids some day. Like Meg, I've been put on birth control to help take care of my acne and some…

I have the regular Magic Bullet and I love it. I've never experienced any issues with it, and it makes delicious smoothies!

When I went back to eating meating after being veg for 6 years, the one thing that really struck me was how long it took to digest meat. I ate a chicken breast for lunch the first time I ate meat, and I was so stuffed I couldn't eat anything the rest of the day. I was also really lethargic (food coma symptoms and the…

I don't drink it often myself, but that's because it makes me super hungry. I'll spend the rest of the day overeating if I drink even a 12 oz diet soda. I still do, occasionally, because I like the taste, but I try to limit it. As far as weight loss, if it doesn't make you hungry or give you headaches or anything, I'd…

I'm also new to backpacking and hiking, so it's good to see I'm not the only one. I have a question for the experienced hikers out there: for a newbie like myself who's just preparing for her first real hikes, what do you absolutely need to take with you, no exceptions. Obviously food/water (for me and the pooch), but…

I'm in! I just joined MFP a few days ago, so this will be the perfect challenge to get me up and off the couch! Edit: D'oh! I thought this was a January thread :ohwell:

The two most comprehensive veggie cookbooks are: How to Cook Everything Vegetarian - Mark Bittman Vegetarian Cooking for Everyone - Deborah Madison An easy to way to find more cookbooks though are to go onto Amazon and just search "vegetarian cookbook."
