I workout every morning at 5am and I do not eat anything at all, however, that works for me. Sometimes if I want a little something before I workout I will mix some Hammer Nutrition Heed to my water and that usually works. Maybe you could try to eat a banana or a yogurt that way you would not have to wait 30 minutes.

I experience they same thing. I usually have a banana with it and that does the trick.

I work out at 5am everyday on an empty stomach. I have seen absolutely no negative effects. Although some mornings I will have a Hammer Nutrition Gel and that will do the trick. I eat breakfast once I get to work.

I love my Smartwool. Use them for running and mountain biking. Not cheap but worth every cent.

Lots of fish oil supplements will produce fishy tasting burps (maybe not for everyone). I take fish oil by Nordic Naturals http://www.iherb.com/Nordic-Naturals-Omega-3-Purified-Fish-Oil-Lemon-120-Soft-Gels/4204). It is a great brand that does not produce fishy tasting burps.
