  • I was going to post the same thing but decided it would seem...I dunno ironic? Haha. I got ignored! Maybe I should start my own thread?
  • Its easy to get skipped in those person above you threads. If you and someone somewhere in the world click reply at the same time, obviously they won't see your post and it gets skipped. It happens all the time. I feel like you're reading into things too much and your self talk sounds a lot like mine did a few years ago. I…
  • I weigh whenever possible, and measure if I can't weigh. For those times I can't do either, I'm better at eyeballing now that I'm so used to weighing, but it makes me uncomfortable to guess.
  • I almost never hit complete entry and I have my streak going. Check out the stickies in the useful info section at the bottom of the boards. There's something about getting it reset somewhere in there.
  • You have PCOS of course things will e slightly different for you. Patience is a virtue. There's nothing wrong with half a pound a week...but, how much do you have to lose, how are you logging (measuring) foods and calorie burns, height, weight, etc.?
  • Again, it depends, as others have said. You said the dr gave you a list of things not to do, what was the reason behind them? Setting goals is where to start. I know I couldn't do 1.5-2 hours of straight cardio in one day, but I'm up to 40-45 minutes at once when it used to be hard to get through 30. So it's really about…
  • I drink coke zero because at this point I prefer the taste. I have noticed no adverse reactions to it, besides caffeine headaches so I startd only drinking 1-2 cans a day instead of triple that.
  • Depends how you define "healthy" honestly. Yes tons of the menu items are over 1000 calories, but it not necessarily "bad" food. I usually get the parmesan crusted chicken. Never fries if I get something else, always broccoli. Just cause I love steamed broccoli.
  • -shrug- I have no gluten issues and I love me some carbs, so I don't care. But my mom has celiacs and so if I'm in her house a lot of times the options I have are gluten free. What's it matter why people choose to eat or not eat something?
  • You say you want to lose weight as quickly as possible, without crash dieting, and then go on to support a VLCD of 800 a day BEFORE you work out a whole hour. That my dear, is the definition of a crash diet.
  • There's no way he doesn't have an idea, 100lbs is HUGE and you're kidding yourself if you think no one realizes. I thought because I was six feet tall I could get away with fudging it a bit when I was 307 but I realized admitting it out loud to the people who support me has only been a help. I told my bf how much I was and…
  • Good point. I could also be remembering incorrectly because it was a long time ago and my thigh piece was much more recent and I thought much more painful. It was also a really weird position to sit in for that many hours. I'm starting my sleeve soon and I'm concerned about the elbow area?
  • I'm the owner of three star wars tattoos but they were done when I was 18 and didnt know anything and I saw this and I got WAY TOO EXCITED OVER HOW AMAZING IT IS.
  • My back of the calf one wasn't too bad. Until the white was put in. And it got up behind my knee. Owch. That was brutal.
  • I agree. I can, however, understand the knee jerk reaction of being defensive when someone makes an anti-tattoo type comment. Having ink is still a minority (Something under 15% of the population of my country) and some of us are used to getting crap about our decisions. Not advocating jumping to conclusions, however. I…
  • I'm too much of a wuss for piercings, but my ears are stretched to a 0G...they were 1/2inch but they made my mom cry so I dropped them down because I'm happy with a0G and I'll just get more ink instead. I have Eight? Yeah. Eight. Pokeball behind my left ear Rebel alliance symbol (Star Wars) right wrist and Imperial Navy…
  • This might be the best thing I've read on here and it gave me chills. I try to keep this in mind too, small goals, make it a habit. It doesn't take much out of my life anymore, except that I spend most of my life in workout clothes now because I'm only taking one shower a day..
  • I was going to say something similar. I'm sorry, you don't like tattoos, but not all woman want to wear makeup. I rarely do. My mother still never wears any. Sooooooooooo I don't see how it's mutually exclusive? It's not like I'm going to look perfect when I'm 80 so what's it matter if the tattoo isn't perfect still? It's…
  • I try to ignore my coworker like this. Add in the comments he makes like "well it's easier for you because you're a woman and women cook so you can make your own food"....sometimes I snap and respond but I mostly just nod and go "uh huh" until he stops talking.
  • My mother had similar surgeries at 24 years old and did in fact have pre cancerous cells that were removed twice. It's not like I don't know what I'm talking about. Besides, you mentioned earlier in a different post that your thoughts about the hysterectomy were directly related to that being a cause for your weight gain.…
  • Since this thread already his zombie status with the post before me I thought I could comment safely. I use planet fitness exclusively for my lunch time cardio. For $10/a month and I go five days a week for forty minutes, it's perfect. I do all my strength training at a different gym after work.
  • I just laughed outloud this really awkward sound and my coworkers think I have issues now. Thanks.
  • Alright, see, that makes more sense. Good luck with your plan, wish you the best.
  • There's not a single post of hate in here so I'm really not sure why you're having this reaction now? A lot of people are supportive, and even if there's other posts like mine, they're genuine questions and not hatred. Don't be defensive.
  • People are recommending you speak to someone because you're clearly not ok. I know you say you feel it's unfair to qualify as normal because of not getting a period yet but going to the other extreme and thinking a hysterectomy is a reasonable idea for a 20 year old girl with no current issues is very very clearly NOT ok.…
  • In 2012 I dropped forty pounds. By 2014 I had gained 30ish of that back. Because I stopped logging and stopped caring and refused to step on a scale or be accountable and it just kept creeping back up.
  • I can't breath when I run. And then I started taking yoga classes that focus on breathing and somehow even though it's all what I already know (i.e. breathe at a pace, etc.) it made a huge difference in my runs. I also try to match my inhales to my steps and that keeps me from getting the side stitch. I don't really "run"…
  • I think at this point it's less about the scale and more about body fat. If you don't like how you look, try to focus on weight training and fat loss rather than pounds lost. Are you male or female btw? Cause 17.4% seems crazy good to me depending on what your goals are.
  • I'm really really not trying to bash you so please don't read into my tone or anything, I'm genuinely curious. How is that sustainable? I think I'd die, or cry, or fall off the wagon, or something. I lost over 20 the first month ish I was counting (before using mfp again starting 7/7) and it felt like no effort either…
  • I weigh everything. I made zuchinni bread the other day...so when I created a recipe for it, I waited until I could weigh the whole thing. So I figured it weighed X amount, and each portion would be X/4 (because of the small size). So when I cut off a piece for myself, I weighed it to figure. Here it is with easy numbers:…
