Hope I'm not too late to join. I'm doing insanity so that's 6/7 days and I have soccer 3x/weeks and dodgeball 1x/week. Hopefully I can keep up with the insanity program!

The first few classes I was orange really easily. Now, it's a lot more difficult to get there and more importantly, to stay there. I guess it's a testament to improved fitness but it feels discouraging until I look bigger picture. I really need to get back into it. I just hate the crazy cost of it if you don't go with an…

At this point, I would suggest against it because you're already hungry. Fasting will likely result in binging until you're more comfotable with a deficit. My 0.02$

Depending on your workout or time constraints, I am a huge advocate of dry shampoo!

I will congratulate you on your life story but I will still have my reservations about the truth of it lol. Either way - you do you, girl.

Sucky deal, girl. I just had a partial ACL tear in May and they won't do surgery because it isn't 'bad enough'. So they fashioned me with a brace for $1600 and told to be on my way. My advice is to not let the injury control you. Obviously you're not that confident in it given the history and I can't blame you. I agree…

Definitely a calorie counting thing. You might have to be 'hungry' for a bit. Your body is getting used to a change. Try filling up on protein and (healthy) fats. If you're still hungry, opt for something with more substance. Unfortunately, if one thing changes in your life style, so should the other things. Also, once…

I love love LOVE my TaTaTamer from Lulu Lemon. A bit on the pricey side but they last awhile and I wear them often. Lot's of support for my 'girls' and feels nice too.
-
Also, if you need a reminder, set an alarm on your phone(fitbit?) to say "Drink a cup or bottle or however much" you need.
-
I have a One and love it. It's easy to conceal and you can wear it almost all the time. I even wear it to soccer games where you're not allowed to wear anything like a bracelet or headband. ;) Shhh

I really enjoy OTF. It whoops me really good lol. Sadly, after Hell Week, I got really sick and fell off the wagon. Hoping to use up my 7 classes that remain and bulk buy a few more.

I think we just became best friends. I agree though. If it's important enough to you, count it in the morning. Then assess the calories you have left and prioritize. Or, if you want just the taste of it (I love red wine and would be happy just sniffing the crap out of it) have a smaller glass and try to make it last an…

I think for MOST people, it certainly is. It helps with accountability and it shows you what you're actually consuming. That being said, it's not something EVERYONE needs. If you struggle with weight loss and dieting, I'd suggest it.

#Preach If you're hungry (truly hungry, not bored or dehydrated or emotional) eat. Weight loss and health in general should not be punishment based. I will not deprive myself and I will not punish myself.

The first few days of Insanity my feet hurt and my knee (ACL partial tear) gets fatigued a bit but it's not too terrible now.

Lol. I'm a bit of a nut though. I LOVE exercise. Once I actually do it. Yesterday I did cardio resistance and had a soccer game later in the day. I'm currently in rec sports Mon and wed with competitive soccer fri (practice) and Sunday (games). I'm toying with implementing strength training again on my 'off' days.

I just started Insanity last week. Did every day last week, rested saturday, started again tomorrow, will go again today after work.

Because, internet. People who haven't been taught healthy lifestyle and want a change start on Google. And you, as well as anyone, should know how much crap is on the internet.

Such a great story. If you weren't a Riders fan, I would more supportive ;) Just kidding - sort of. In all seriousness though, amazing progress and a great attitude about it. Keep it up!

I generally prefer something small about 20 minutes pre workout (one toast slice with peanut butter and banana) then my 'real' breakfast afterwards.

I agree with the allergy assessment. I didn't have any skin issues when I cut out gluten but the other symptoms ring true. It was like the worst hangover - ever. Then one weekend, I woke up and had a REAL BM. (Husband and I high-fived for it lol) and I felt amazing. Clear head, energy, focus. It was unreal.

I just completed my first week. Tomorrow is my first rest day. I'm love/hating it so far. I second the issue with calves so I've been pausing the stretches for a bit and focusing on them for a couple minutes and also foam rolling for 5 minutes afterwards. I'm starting to toy with the idea of adding some weight training in…

Next week i think we will notice a decline

As a huge wine-o, I also find it difficult to abstain from it. My plan - once I've gone a few weeks without anything just to prove it to myself that I can - is I have 2 days I can drink a week. Generally, they will be the weekends but if I really want/need a drink after work one day, I will not punish myself. It's all…

I do an at home workout in the mornings and in addition to the previous suggestions, I will have a pre workout ready and mixed beside my bed so if I'm struggling - I down it. There is NO resting after that choice is made!

This one is a good 'go-to' but my all-time favourite is Mongozo. Frick, it's so great. We also have a brand called La Messagere and their blonde is okay but they have a berry beer which is nice for a treat. It's a little on the sweet side but for something different it's great.

If you're craving something 'carb-y' as I tend to for lunch more than any other meal, I'll mix tuna and avocado (sometimes tomato or whatever else I want) and put it on a rice cake or dip rice crackers into it. Or even tortilla chips for a taco salad.
-
I have the mio ones and like them as an alternative. Sometimes I just don't want "water". But, as mentioned above, if it's a substitute for sugary drinks, plus one for you! Also, for my not so restrained weekends, I'll do vodka water and a squirt or two. It's better than pop or juice and still 'somewhat' better an option…

Excellent question and advice. I'm going to try these with a barbell on my next day. Thanks for the feedback!
