  • I don't know about OP, but I really appreciate the tips. Thanks everyone!
  • I did insanity plyometric resistance this morning. Now on my way to a soccer game! GO team Go!
  • Hey rockstars, totally open to building and becoming part of a support system. Feel free to shoot me a request :)
  • Did y'all buy the converse or do you just use normal shoes? I have some minimal cross-training ones which I find I prefer over my runners.
  • Awesome pro tips here. We tend to do the bulk costco purchases and then portion it out which really helps. Maybe, we will gear a little more to the frozen fruit/veggies. I use the fruit in my smoothies but don't often buy the veggies.
  • Hey, one minute at a time, one day at a time, one week at a time. Know that you've done it 'this long' so you can do it 'this much' longer. And, if you "cheat" or go over your calories, just do better tomorrow. Don't have an all or nothing mentality because that tends to be where the major guilt comes in (for me, any how).…
  • I would try anything once. So - sure?
  • See if it's salvageable? A salad or soup or with alow cal sauce? Otherwise, don't beat yourself up - just don't make the same 'mistake' again.
  • Odd, not knowing you, I have a happy smile envisioning you doing a hip hop routine. #Creepy (Sorry if I legit creeped you out. I have an active imagination~)
  • Do you have an HR monitor? If you have a heart condition, I'd really suggest getting one and using it properly. You CAN still do cardio but, as @SonyaCele said, pace yourself.
  • @quiksylver296 HOLY SMOKES! Well done. I'm toying with the idea of doing SL again and you have literally pushed me to get started. Excellent work!
  • Definitely. I used to work on a Cardiovascular Surgery ward and the number of people who had uber low potassium was so strange to me. They were all put on a water restriction. Glad you're feeling better though, thats a scary situation.
  • I don't know enough about PCOS but I have read that low carb diets *can* help. IIRC, there is a PCOS group though I'm not sure how active it is. Sorry for your diagnosis but best wishes on your journey going forward. I know quite a few people who have one or even two kidlets and have PCOS.

  • All of the above. And if you have a desk drawer, I usually have an emergency stash of healthy things like an additional tuna can or protein bar or fruit cup in water. It helps me if I get a super hungry day - 'am i hungry enough to eat tuna? Yes, I must be hungry."
  • Me too. That being said, I am less like to 'beat myself up' if I feel hungry enough to eat a few back. I look at the as 'flex' calories. Try NOT to use them but I've earned them in a way too.
  • The elliptical motions confuse my body lol. Coming from someone who runs.
  • I do almond milk because even a latte cause me stomach upset :( If I could drink regular milk, I feel like I would.

  • Depending what time it is, I'll brush my teeth if it's close enough to bed time and i'm bored/habit snacking rather than hunger snacking. If i'm hungry, I choose wisely (after trying a glass of water). Otherwise, I feel like i'm really being rude to my fresh pearly whites ;)
  • Hello BB-ers. I am on W2D3 of Insanity. No real visual results yet but certainly feel more able (ish) to keep up during the warm up lol.
  • Treat Yo Self But seriously, I will too. I got gift cards for Xmas and will use some of them towards new clothes.
  • Sports injuries derailed me and I found it difficult to get back going.
  • The scale can be my arch nemesis. I will weigh myself weekly/bi weekly. I have a tendency to obsess over the numbers in an unhealthy way so I put it out of sight/out of mind. That being said, i think it's critical to track it to some degree.
  • Hahah, at first, I thought this was a harsh comment. Now that I saw her picture, I love it. Also, if you struggle with water due to it's lack of taste, the above poster suggested the flavoured water. Mio and the like are 'okay' additions in moderation. Or, as the same poster suggested, teas. I love them hot and iced :)
  • I eat junk food once in a while. I just try to limit it. My issue is I can chow the heck out of an entire bag of chips. So I set some in a bowl, eat them as slowly as I can manage and then put it away.
  • Husband and I are both athletic people by nature and, thankfully, both enjoy healthy foods by nature. That doesn't mean we don't indulge in nachos and rye once in awhile but day by day - it's a breeze. His job requires him to be fit and I feel so much better about myself when i'm fit. Which, in turn, makes him more…
  • Is the second month 'that' much harder? I was toying with the same use! Doing strength training on t-th-sat. Although I feel like I'm giving my max during the workout, my cardio seems to be such that I recover a couple hours later. So I'd insanity in the am and lift in the pm. Too much?
  • Preach! I went with two eggs, a slice of lactose free cheese, Turkey sausage and half an English muffin
  • Ugh. Ivs suck, especially if you have a nurse doing it.

  • I would recommend talking to a doc and ask for blood work if this is affecting you. I was diagnosed anemic and once I started taking iron supplements, my energy skyrocketed. Additionally, I find that the more tired I am, the more anxious I get. My focus is off and I get caught In my head and have a difficult time grounding…
