I've done both. Same problem either way.

Absolutely. Would be nice to know more people my age here.

I changed mine when I saw this thread. It's my 1972 Capri 2600. I'm restoring it and it's almost done. Putting the pic there reminds me that I need to get to work on it now that there are warmer days.

That's an awesome profile pic. You bet.

I know.

I weigh myself all the time. I log when I see the "new" weight a few times. I don't change it if I fluctuate up a bit. I know I'm eating at a deficit and didn't gain any fat. But I try not to pull the trigger on a new, lower weight until I feel like it'll stick. Like, right now, my "official" weight is 182. I was 181.4…

Insurance companies can do whatever they want. They do that kind of thing all the time. My son is the safest driver I know, but you think he gets a break on car insurance? He's an 18 year old boy with a twin turbo, 300+ HP car. Statistics say he's a risk. That's how it works. It's not fair, but that's how it works.

With that awesome butt pic I'm totally going to send you a pervy PM so you can start a thread complaining about it. Of course I'd accept. lol

Huh. Didn't realize. Thanks for letting me know. Fixed. And Shay, yes.
-
You bet.

Yes. Mostly just because it's creepy how we could be body doubles. (edit) Intended for 3POX. Happyfeet, sure, you're in too. But I doubt we look as similar shirtless.
-
Yeah, got to kinda agree. I'm not excusing anyone's creepy behavior, but at the same time, it isn't difficult to predict the outcome of some decisions.

It's a tool, and honestly, it does what it's supposed to do very well. It isn't intended to fit everyone in every situation. It's intended to be very easy to check and give an indicator. My personal anecdote is kind of the opposite of yours. A year ago I was knocking on the door of "obese". Recently I moved into "normal".…

9 For real man hair.

Where's the like button?
-
You bet. Especially after reading your story.
-
Wait, no, I was just answering your question.
-
No.
-
Yes. For fashion tips.

Or eating more than you realize. It's unlikely anyone would be "hundreds of calories under" a 1,200 calorie goal for any period of time unless they had an eating disorder. If you're not using a food scale, you might consider getting one. I know I wasn't accurately logging my food before I got mine. I was surprised how far…

Yeah, depending where you go, you may be able to get nutrition information. If it's any kind of a chain, it may already be in the database too.

Honestly? I guess. I had a lunch function at a Mexican place today. I did my best to log what I ate and found something that looked similar to what I was eating in the database. One meal. One day. Close enough. If I ate like that a lot, I might get more worried about it. My stomach, right now, is telling me it wasn't as…

Go with God, my combative friend. Thank you for serving as an example of His love and understanding.

Because Time Magazine is "science". lol Didn't they do a "scientific" look at Intelligent Design a few years ago? Magazine headlines are always the best sources for real science. I saw Dr. Oz on one at the supermarket with a great new diet! Must be science.
-
Yeah, sorry. Well said, but pretty much false. First point, maybe, but I'd say that has to do more with sociology than science. It may also be confusing spirituality with belief in "God" (Which could mean any number of things. I talk about God. I'm pretty sure what I mean when I use that word is a lot different than what…

That's probably it. God was in a bit of a hurry.

In my opinion, climate change is the ideal example, and clearly shows how people will shift their objection rather than compromise "who they are". Global warming is still a fine way to phrase it. I believe the phrase fell out of favor, in part, due to a very effective misinformation campaign from the deniers. How many…

That was a really interesting read. Thank you for posting. That really rings true and gives organization to a lot of ideas I've had for a while. It's unlikely that it would happen at the elementary or high school level, but I do wish we placed more value on teaching "thinking skills" at the college level. It's become very…
