  • The idea behind slimming world is that you don't have to count calories with the syn system in place. That being said, there is nothing bad about counting calories if you want to do it and it's in my personal opinion a more optimal way to successfully lose weight. Hope this helps.
  • Thanks! If MFP had any reward system I'd give you one
  • Really? What sort of effects would this have? Since alcohol isn't neccessarily a macronutrient, but seems quite dense. If my carbs were still low for the day how would drinking effect fat burning?
  • Yes you should. MFP takes your height and weight to calculate your BMR. It then takes you activity level (Sedentary, moderate, ect) to calculate your TDEE. (Total daily energy expenditure) Then depending on how much weight you want to lose, it deducts a certain % from that number. Since you have selected to lose weight so…
  • Look up full body workouts, 3x a week.
  • If thats the case, then i have no idea why it reduced your calories burned by steps, sorry. Could be the app factoring that it thinks your steps were you dancing and reduced the amount of steps, i'm unsure.

  • Hi, considering walking is factored in to your total daily expenditure. Which on average depending on how active the person is, is about 200 - 500 calories. The average person takes a stridge of about 2.3 feet. In 2000 steps you will walk 1 mile. In 10,000 steps you will walk 5 mile. In my opinion a 5 mile walk can easily…

  • Hi, There has been studies that suggest doing 10 minutes of HIIT (High intensity interval training) Is just as good if not better then doing 30 minutes of endurance based cardio. By HIIT I mean something along the lines of going at a slow-moderate pace for 45 seconds, then going as fast/hard as you can for 15 seconds. You…
  • Hi Alex, Congrats on the 8lbs of weight loss. My answer would be its quite difficult to know the answer to this question with only 2 weeks of dieting. You're setup that you are currently doing is great. You should aim to lose about 1-2lbs a week. The fact you lost 8lbs is common due to water weight ect. It sounds like your…
  • That's the plan

  • Ah I see haha! I'd personally say eat slightly above maintenance then. But it's you're choice, its possible to diet sure. But you might want to gain more muscle to make it easier for yourself. More muscle increases metabolism so the amount of calories you burn is higher. I hope to lose 1-2lbs a week, and about 3lbs in my…

  • I would say it all depends on diet at the time. If your lifting and your diet was mainly liquids then you'll still build muscle but not optimally. It depends how you trained since that time. If you've been at the gym since 2012 then surely you're underestimating yourself? you can't be completely skinny fat? You must have…

  • You shouldn't really bulk all cut in this case. If you are skinny fat, and new to lifting, it doesn't really matter what you do. If you lift weight you will most likely gain muscle. This is because the body adapts to whatever situation you present it. If you lift then you will build muscle. What I'd do is just find out you…
