Thanks for the story and inspiration! Keep up the good work! You look terrific and I love your explanation about how you feel now vs before - pretty similar here and it is kind of weird when people expect me to respond differently.

I am so very happy for you! It is a HUGE deal and you have worked very hard to get there. My day is coming!

Sue, those photos are fabulous - thank you so much for sharing! The beauty is in the smile and the hard work and the progress and the strength that is obvious in your current pictures! Sidenote: I think that size 14 might be a little big too! :-)

Holy cow, this is a great thread - I needed this motivation lately as I've been a bit plateaued. I especially love this picture - those bags are HEAVY and I've lost at least one. Might be a picture taken at my house when I get home tonight, just sayin' :-)

I can relate. I am 5' 11.5" and started at 250+. It took 30# for people to notice and for me to *finally* drop a pants size - from a US20 to a US18 or in some cases a 16 and I got rid of all my 20s. What I love is that the weight came off my upper body first, so I am down from an XXL top to a L and down a bra size too…

I echo all the comments above - well done and great message (scales lie!). Your legs are gorgeous in that dress!

Yes! I'm 5'11 and started around 250ish. I'm at about 217 now. Took 25 pounds before I went down a pants size (US20 to US18) but I'm down 2-3 sizes on top already! I can say that my smaller pants are starting to get loose though, so I'm hoping the next size reduction will come sooner. I always figured (and hoped) my upper…

Fabulous milestone! Congratulations and a big pat on the back for all the hard work! You look great and I can only imagine how much easier life is without that extra 100 pounds! Keep up the good work!

I have never done yoga alone - it's all in the class setting. I feel lucky that the instructors all are welcoming and accommodating and create an inclusive space where modifications are just offered in the course of the class without any singling out. We are all encouraged to listen to our body and return to child's pose…

Great post and thanks for the inspiration! I'm also curious what type of scan that is and what type of provider you had the scan and your various body fat and VO2 assessments done?
-
Wahoo for you! I love all the success threads but especially the ones where someone has cracked the 200 barrier! My day is coming!

I was 250+ when I walked into my first yoga class last fall. I was terrified of the whole thing for any number of reasons, but certainly all of those listed in your post. I went to a "beginners hot power yoga" class, and stuck with the beginners classes for the first few weeks while I got used to the general routine. There…

Congrats! What a happy occasion! You inspired me to plug my numbers into the BMI tool - hadn't looked in a while - and I have just left "obese" for "overweight"! That is a huge milestone for me too, so thanks for inspiring me to discover that piece of good news for myself today!
