  • It's a wonderfully huge milestone! Can't wait to get there myself! Congratulations!
  • Way to go! Keep up the good work!
  • You are doing great! I can definitely see the changes - especially in your shoulders and upper body - and I am glad to hear you are FEELING the changes! Keep at it!
  • Really lovely! The collarbones are fantastic - I can't wait for mine to come back out and play!
  • I see a difference! Good job and keep up the good work!

  • Absolutely fantastic!
  • great pictures, great story and GREAT INSPIRATION! Thanks for sharing it and keep up the good work!
  • Thank you. I appreciate the very kind feedback!
  • Love the donation and love the transformation you've made - your collarbones are lovely!
  • bump to follow - I have no idea what I'll look like at my goal weight of 175. I suspect that was my weight range in high school/college but now that I'm in my 40s, it's hard to guess how I'd carry it.
  • I read your post and two things jumped out at me: 1. You got out of the house and went to the gym! 2. You exercised for TWENTY minutes! For a first step into a healthier lifestyle, these are both huge steps in the right direction! I also think the instructor sounds great and very understanding. Good for you! Focus on the…
  • Thanks for the kind words - very appreciated. I think I just needed to admit that it's OK to be in a slump once in a while - like they always say in yoga, it's not about how many times you fall out of a pose, it's about how many times you come back. So, one day at at time, I'm going to keep at it!
  • I have lost right about 30 pounds in the last 30-31 weeks. It seems slow but when I look back I like the gradual but steady progress! I think I'm set for 1.5/week but figure if I don't quite make my calorie goal, I'm still in the 1.0/week range and it has really played out that way for me. Slow and steady! Keep up the good…
  • Yahoo! Well done on all your hard work! Great dress.
  • New bras (38D from a 42DD) and underwear for me this weekend! And started a pile of "too baggy to wear to work" clothes and that pile is getting bigger every time I pull something out of my closet and try it on. When you have options besides just stores that carry 2XL or size 20+, I think I will enjoy shopping much more…
  • I am down 30 ish pounds with about 50 ish to go but noticed a week or two ago the "knocking knees" issues when I lay on my side at night and am considering a body pillow to help with that. This morning at yoga we were on our bellies on the mat, doing back exercises - during bow pose, my lower rib cage was uncomfortable as…
  • Whether you run your 5k in 20 min or 40 or 100 - you still cover the distance. That is what counts! Be patient with your body and a big WOO HOO for how far you've come.

  • I found myself in an outdoor circuit training class a few weeks ago - a long story of how that came to be - but we started out with a slow run and then she threw in short sprints. The good news is my butt has gotten smaller. The bad news was that my lycra pants fell right down to my thighs! I definitely had to smile at…
  • One of those races is on my to-do list - if not this summer, then next. Congrats on the journey!
  • Great story and you look terrific. I especially admire the mountain bike racing! All that was missing was a video clip of you singing!
  • I was at a play last night and bought a t-shirt - only a size L. I have been a 2XL for so long, it seems unreal to me to buy just a large! and I am enjoying seeing my cheekbones and jaw line again, as well as my re-emerging collar bones!
  • I wore my first pair of smaller pants to work yesterday - felt great. Putting on a baggy pair today was gross and I am going pants shopping tomorrow and ditching all the baggy ones!! Oh and my "biggest loser" program at work ended today - I lost 19.8 pounds in 16 weeks, including a 0.6 loss this week even though I took a…
  • "bounce house"?
  • I have a green smoothie every day and my favorite combo is: 2-3 cups baby spinach 1 cup cucumber 1 chopped up pear 3/4 cup frozen pineapple (could be fresh too - I just buy the big frozen bags from Costco) 1 lime (peeled) 2 cups coconut water 2 Tbsp chia seed 3 Tbsp flax seed Goes in the Nutribullet and comes out with…

  • Congrats and keep up the good work! I'm right behind you (222 today) and am excited to go below 220 for the first time in at least 15 years. Can't even imagine how it will feel to reach onederland!
  • I also loved the book arch! I know what you mean about the 1-1.5 pound a week routine feeling so slow and small - but they add up and a slow, measured loss is way more sustainable in the long run! That 1 pound that takes us from 200 to 199 will be HUGE won't it???? And that is "only" a pound!!!
  • ^^ This is just what I was going to say - the day I see a number under 200, I will be a shrieking maniac. It'll be a few more months, but I'm preparing my vocal chords already because I'm going to get there!!! SW: 251 (Oct 2013) CW: 224 GW: 175
  • That is awesome! Keep up the good work! I had my chol/trig drawn on Friday and am waiting to see if my last six months of exercise and mindful eating have had the effect I'm hoping for! Fingers crossed for changes as big as yours!
  • Easter brought some fun conversations my way too! My dad charmingly turned my progress into his own soapbox for lecturing both my sister and my husband about how they should do what I'm doing, and then telling me later that _I_ should also 'gently' try to encourage my sister! I told him I would do no such thing - they are…
