100g of fat and 90g of protein and you eat only 1400 calories a day? That's 900 calories of fat and 360 calories of protein = 1260. So you eat 140 calories of carbs which is 35g. Is this right? That seems pretty weird to me.

Eat until you are full. Enjoy the company and the experience between bites, drink water, and don't fret over it.

Volume vs weight. 1 cup = 8 fl. oz. it could weigh 1000 million billion pounds depending on how dense it is.

I'm hoping to lose about 12 lbs this month as I started the month by putting on about 5 pounds of water weight from a couple of bad eating choices. We'll see. SW: 365 CW: 264.4 GW: 250-255 (Water weight is fickle) 2/01: 264.2 2/08: 2/15: 2/22: 2/28:

I need to loose another 40lbs or so to qualify for heart transplant surgery and get on the list (in the future). That's pretty motivating, I guess.

Yeah I probably need a more diverse diet. I'm trying to do it within my means. Mostly chicken breast or ground turkey with whole grain rice, pasta, bread, some peanut butter, almond milk, greek yogurt, strawberries, bananas and tuna, and I take a multi vitamin. I need more greens I usually eat 3oz of spinach a day, but…

I love your condescension. Also, when I first started here the mfp told me to eat 1670cal/day.

Yeah, I've been skipping the whole exercise calories. That's probably it, because the lifting regiment I'm on now is a bit more intense than I'm used to doing. I used the 1.55 multiplier to my BMR based on my stats using Harris Benedict and It came out with 3666 so maybe I should be eating 3k calories a day. It's just a…

I was under the impression that carbohydrates are brain fuel. I could be wrong, though.

Thanks. I'll see how that works. I tried keeping my weight on the ball of my foot it helped a good bit. Oh it's the calf machine. I didn't know what the smith machine was (I'm a gym noob).

I have several minigoals: 1. to my lightest weight in over a decade, 239lbs (24lbs) 2. down to 220 to qualify for heart transplant surgery. (43lbs) 3. down to 204 to weigh less than I did when I was 5'5" @ 12 years old. (60lbs) 4. down to 199 to be under 200. (64lbs) 5. 185 is roughly my goal weight (78lbs) 6. If I manage…

Thanks, Mike and Dav. I will try raising my toes to get the weight on the ball of my foot. As far as the machine, I don't know. It's a contraption that has to padded bars that sit over your shoulders and a place to put weights on it and you would to a calf raise. I have legs today, I'll try to remember to check the machine…

I was happy when I logged Mugshot's SGT. Pepper Jack and fries and it fit my macros. I'm sad by the amount of sodium in most breads, though.

Thanks for the responses. I think having people take notice of your efforts helps, too. The best to you all, I see that many of you have successes as well.
