Get serious about calorie counting and doing your exercising then :) I have been using MFP for 80 days now and have lost just over 11kg already. I want to lose approx 40kg by November 25 and am well on track to achieve this goal. So for you to lose 13 kg by Nov 1 is well and truly possible. Good luck :)

LOL blame the app :P I went out to do walk/speed walk yesterday, set the program up but forgot to turn on my location service (so no GPS), got to end knowing I had actually gone further and faster than before just to be told 0.00 everything - DAMN!!!! - oh well that won't happen again :)

you can make your own: Raw Almond Milk 2 cups of fresh raw Almonds 1 cup of Pine nuts Calico cloth (for straining) Directions: to make this almond milk: soak 2 cups of fresh raw almonds and 1 cup of Pine nuts overnight in a bowl of pure water (The water should be 1-2cm above the nuts to allow for swelling). In the morning…

Ok so because of the pain in my shin and lower back I decided to do the walk/speed walk splits for a week or two - today was the first day (repeated W1D1) and it feels much much better. Will do this for a couple of weeks and work my way back up to jogging. At least I'm moving - and I believe I actually walked further today…

Yesterday was a rest day for me so I went to the Chiro AND had a much needed 1 hr massage also - heaven. My shins are soooo sore today and after having back problems recently I have decided that I might actually do a week or so of walking/speed walk stints on this program instead of running, just to build up my stamina,…

I count calories, trying not to go over 1200, and I DO NOT eat back my exercise calories as I find this is a sure fire way for me to gain weight every single time - although I do "watch what I eat" too - trying to pick the option which contains less fat etc

OK so I'll join in - did W1D1 yesterday and even though should be resting today have done approx 1hr on the Wii - my butt hurts LOL Haven't run since finishing senior 30 years ago - so it was a little bit of a shock to the system. I did walk two of the run stints but who cares I kept moving and didn't stop - tomorrow will…

Have just started the C25K today (W1D1). When finished I looked at the log and it says weight 0.0 and cals 0 - ok what have I done wrong - where on earth do you input your starting weight - there is a goal weight within the settings, but if you have a fair bit of weight to lose it wouldn't accurately calculate the cals…

Have just arrived home from completing W1D1 - ok I walked 2 of the run stints but the rest was on track and it is the first time I have run in 30 years, so I can forgive myself that little bit of slackness LOL :)

I have just added this app on my iPhone and plan on starting it next Monday (too much going on between now and then :( ) Does anyone know how to set the goals within the apps setting section though - the weight I assume is what you want to be ?? Is there somewhere you can put current weight into the program. I don't see…

Oh I had a biggest laugh of my life reading this - I have thought these exact thoughts sooooo many times - you go girl - you had the guts to put it in writing. Yes this a weight lose forum - but you are meant to SUPPORT each other, not make matters worse. I too fall of the tracks sometimes but if I took everything people…

Sorry been away from the computer and was unable to update before now (I know, sme of us have a life beyond computers believe it or not LOL) Challenge 1 - no sweat.

First and foremost - DON'T buy the sweets. If they are not in the house you can't eat them. I am finding that after not eating or drinking sweet things I no longer crave them. Even when hubby and kids are eating somethings now the smell sometimes makes me feel ill. Second - think of the real reason why you want to lose the…

Can't weight, LOL sorry couldn't help myself :)

I have to join into this one - one of the main reasons I want to lose all my weight by Nov is because we are going to Universal Orlando to see HP - so hell yeah, count me in :flowerforyou:

I find the easiest way to curb a craving after meals (and especially later at night while watching tv) is simply to clean my teeth believe it or not - having that fresh minty taste in my mouth is enough :)

I LOVE bananas too - unfortunately they are way too expensive over here at the moment ($13 kg) since all the crops were wiped out by the cyclone a couple of months ago BUMMER

Don't give up Think of it this way - even though your scales are different from the doctors - they would be reading "incorrectly" from day to day - so any weight they show you as losing you HAVE lost. So what if the end number is different - the amount of LOST weight is the same. Another thing - look at the doctors scales…

I confess that when I cook a batch of healthy food I plate up each persons meal and very quickly put portion controlled servings of leftovers in containers in the freezer so my hubby can't have seconds and I have a decent meal on hand when he and the kids decide to have KFC or some other disgusting crap I confess that I…

I can't have artificial sweetener as I am allergic to them, so it was really hard for me to find a low-cal snack - that was until I "found" the Symply Too Good To Be True recipe books by Annette Sym - they are published in Australia but available online - there are so many yummy low-cal meals and snacks in them that now I…

Gidday - I joined this site just over a month ago and have already lost 7kg - so you can do it. This app is so easy to use and it is the longest time (in a long time) I have stuck to a "diet" - probably because this time it isn't a diet - it is just a conscience involvement in the betterment of my future health Hope you…
