  • Gidday from Australia - I have been using MFP now for approx 6 mths and have lost 49lb. Will be over your way in 8 weeks getting all my exercise at WDW (can't wait). Keep up the good work :)
  • I use iMapMyWalk+ in addition to MFP - the two are all I find I need to keep me on track :)
  • I personally wouldn't worry about it - if you are under today - tomorrow you might go over and it will even itself out. 1200 cals is what MFP have been telling me to eat for a couple of months now (I started on 1380 I think) - and some days I don't make the 1200 either. Don't stress over it, that could possibly make you…
  • Well done. I too am trying to lose my weight for a Disneyworld vacation in December :)
  • Short answer - YES!!!!!! I have only been doing the Wii (plus some walking) and have now lost just over 20kg in 4 months - and of course watching what I eat with the help of the MFP app on my iPhone I use several Wii "games" - Wii Fit, Wii Fit Plus, Michelle Michaels, several yoga/pilates ones too (sorry without being near…
  • I cut out Pepsi and now have the same problem - a can can take me ages to drink. During summer I don't have a problem drinking water but now that the weather is cooler I find the last thing I want to drink is water - I do drink at least 3-4 cups of green tea a day and that can count towards the water, so problem solved…
  • I totally agree - some days I'm team more and sometimes team less - however I find I am probably more consistantly TEAM LESS :drinker: I too like to exercise because I want to and find walking way more enjoyable than running - although I do speed walk which for me is only just slightly slower than I can run anyway
  • Have decided I prefer walking to running (I can do it faster and for way longer) - so have changed to doing the iMapMyWalk app on my iPhone. Where I have normally been doing about 3 km (1.7mi) in 31 minutes today I did 4.5km in 50 mins instead. Felt heaps better after it and am well and truly looking forward to the day off…
  • I set it up sooo long ago when we first got the Wii Speak - I believe it was part of that, my daughter plays Animal Crossing with a friend and they talk to each other through the whole game (over the tv) - there is a little bit of lag but it sounds just like 2 teenage girls talking in the lounge but louder :ohwell:
  • Bejewelled Blitz is another one - I love the logic and puzzle games, there's heaps of them online

  • You can link with your friends if you have each others friend codes and you can even talk to them (like a tv phone LOL) if you have Wii Speak (I think it's called) - but as far as playing together not sure, you can in Animal Crossing and Mario for sure but not sure about anything else
  • Winter definately has it's challenges - pies, stews, warm puddings YUMMO!!!! not to mention it is soooo hard to get out of bed and out of the house to exercise  Then again summer you have ice-blocks, ice-creams I suppose. :embarassed: But for me definately winter is the worst.
  • [/quote] I'm not sure about the Osborne lights I've never seen them but they sound cool! Yea it wasn't the best song to run to I have to check the playlist before I start next time  Congrats on finishing your first day, you'll be able to run all the run parts in no time! Do you do your Wii exercisies with the WiiFit…
  • W1D2 done - speed walked the majority of the runs though - went a different direction today and man was it hilly, couldn't have jogged if I'd tried :ohwell: but I did speed walk instead so probably just as fast as my jog anyway :blushing:
  • I just use normal frozen veges and cook them in the microwave - cheaper than the specially packaged ones. No problem with just eating the veges as a meal but you need to get some protein in your other meals. Gotta love those veges  Lean Cuisine - I agree YUK and such a waste of money
  • Love the music selection - Is that the Xmas song they use at Disney for the Osborne Lights - its great - but don't know about running to it  All the other would have kept you motivated though. Last time I ran I clicked on shuffle and ended up listening to a mix of country and rock, definately different :blushing: I…
  • OOh I'm first - possible because I'm in Australia and it is already Jun 6 here  Completed W1D1 - again  - 1.7mi in 31 minutes - didn't feel too bad, but then I actually power walked 3 of the run stints - which is probably as fast I can run anyway  - mind you I only did it on the hilly bits - shins felt…
  • Geez just as well I looked at this site today - I had totally forgotten about this starting tomorrow (despite writing it on my calendar :ohwell:
  • Wish my scales would do that :flowerforyou: I'm with everyone else - take the 2 lbs and celebrate :drinker:
  • I'd be in too except for a totally different reason, it is winter here now and getting rather cold so need to try to stay away from the hot pies, stews and warming desserts  Would you believe I am trying to lose as much weight as possible before going to the USA in Nov/Dec and going through their winter also - oh well…
  • This will work great for me, started doing it a couple of weeks ago and kinda died - have spent the past 2 weeks working my way up with walk/speed walk stints, so by June 6 should be ready to begin the running again (I hope) - so I'm in :flowerforyou:
  • Low fat cottage cheese with gherkin relish mixed through - serve on some multigrain crackers YUMMO!!!!
  • I'm with you , I am worried about any flabby bits - I think it depends on age, how long the skin has been stretched too. My biggest concern is my tummy too. After two kids (one a caesar) it has been all stretched out of shape from when it used to be extremely flat in my 20's, and has been getting bigger progressively over…
  • OK so I drank my second full cup today (with 1/2 tsp raw sugar in) - third really but won't count the first one I spat out and poured down the sink :blushing: Figure if I keep drinking it with the sugar just slowly reducing the amount I might actually get to drink it without (well that's the idea anyway :ohwell: )
  • Mine is a nickname I have had for a LOOOOONGG time (plus my yr of birth) - not very creative, sorry :drinker:
  • Wow never thought of this, might try that too, trick the hubby into having some too. :drinker: Hubby has been told by doctor to try green tea and also fish oil tablets (he doesn't drink tea only coffee and hates seafood with a passion)
  • OK just tried another cup with my lunch - brewed it in a glass mug this time, added some cooled water after a minute or so and then 1/2 tsp of raw sugar - not as bad as yesterday. Will try again later and see if my taste buds were just off this time or not LOL
  • OK I have proven I CAN walk faster than I can run :flowerforyou: Repeated W1D2 yesterday just to walk longer and faster than I attempted to do the running last week  So think I will stick with the walk/speed walk stints for a couple more weeks and until I drop a litle more weight to feel comfortable enough to…
  • Ipswich in Sth East QLD, Australia - although it is much drier now than it was a couple of months ago :ohwell: How are you fellow ANZAC :flowerforyou:
  • I was wondering the exact same thing - bought some the other day but only got around to trying it today - all I can say is YUK YUK YUK!!!! - smelled like warm pee or dishwater and tasted almost as bad. I usually drink Irish Breakfast tea with a very minute dribble of milk and 2 level tsp of raw sugar. Although I usually…
