I am in a similar boat. My wife refuses to exercise or eat right, she also refuses to eat what I cook. She complains all of the time about her weight... I even wake up early (I work midnights) so that I can go to the gym when she is sitting at home doing nothing. I have no idea what to do about any of this.

three low calorie/high nutrient meals per day... and I lift fairly heavily. I have not experienced this starvation mode.

you might not be doing anything wrong. Stress may also be a factor here, just enjoy getting stronger and more fit and dont worry about the weight... that will take care of itself.

you have to switch things up. Your body has modes that it will default to after a while so you have to force change. Like muscle growth... You lift heavy for a week, then lift medium weight to muscle failure for a week, then you lift light for a week. This keeps the body guessing and forces change. Diet can be the same…
