I started running last year never realizing that before long I would be hooked :) I started by running/walking alternate lamp posts for 2km and now run 6.5 km most weekday mornings. Currently wearing Spalding Tri-lites. I run in Lower Hutt, New Zealand. It's road running but alongside a river.
