  • Hi there! I'm 21 weeks and have already gained 25 lbs. I just got back on MFP today to help me keep track of calories because I'd really like to keep my weight gain to 12 more pounds in the 19 weeks I have left to go. I am going to try to keep to 2300 calories a day and get a bit more exercise. Send me a request if you'd…
  • Thanks! I think I'll do like you said and see where I even out. I'd be thrilled to drop another 5-10 lbs, but not much more than that...I'm thinking that may be where I end up if I stop BFing in the end of July, and like you said, the weight loss may get slower. I really am afraid of upping my calories because I know it…
  • I'll be your friend :). I have an almost nine month old daughter. I gained 51 lbs during the pregnancy and didn't start losing the last 25 lbs until she was five months old. Breastfeeding was making me ravenous. But I've been sticking to around 2100-2400 calories a day and losing a pound a week since January, and now I am…
  • I'm also breastfeeding. I got on MFP to lose my last 24 lbs of baby weight. I've been shooting for 2100 cal/day since late December, giving myself 500 extra cals for breastfeeding. I've lost 20 lbs in two and a half months doing that. I eat more like 2300/day if I exercise. Breastfeeding makes me ravenous-- I was eating…
  • Feel free to add me- I'm on every day! I'm 31, almost to my goal but I plan to readjust and set another small goal once I get there. Love the encouragement on MFP!
  • I am breastfeeding too. I do 500 extra calories a day for breastfeeding, and I shoot to lose no more than a pound a week (I have heard that more than that is not good for breastfeeding). MFP told me to be consuming around 1400 calories to lose a pound a week, so adding the extra 500 that is 1900 a day-- I did that for a…
  • My go-to jeans from before I got pregnant! I am close to that weight now, but have some major tummy-toning to do before those suckers will fit! Oh it will feel soooo good...... :)
  • I joined MFP in December at 176...I had already lost 11 lbs of baby weight at that point and have lost 14 more since then. Shooting for 10 more lbs. Happy to be your friend if you want :)
  • I started logging calories in December to figure out why I wasn't losing the rest of my baby weight, and found that I was eating 4000-5000 calories a day. What in the world?! It didn't even seem like that much. But waayyy too many empty calories from sugar. Since I started sticking to a 2100-2400 calorie diet (it's higher…
  • me! here i am on fb: https://www.facebook.com/dithster
  • I don't count them...I figure my tracked calories are not really exact anyways. Usually if I take a BLT it is some fruit or veggie that my daughter is eating so it has minimal calories anyway...
  • I'm breastfeeding too. I don't know your height and weight, but I've heard it isn't safe to eat less than 1800 cal/day while breastfeeding. I think the 0.2 and 0.4 fluctuations could just be water...I know sometimes our bodies hold onto weight when we aren't eating enough because our metabolism slows down. I don't know…
  • not sure if you're including dairy though...
  • I have the same issue. I am not a big meat eater and almost always way below my protein goal. Fage Greek yogurts are yummy and have 12 grams of protein and only 140 calories. They come in fat free and 2%. Also a little package of cottage cheese is 90 calories and like 9 or 10 grams of protein.
  • Have you been exercising way more than normal? This would happen to me in high school when I would go away to summer camp and my activity level would go way up from where it usually was. I wouldn't get my period for the whole summer. Then when I went back to normal activity level, it would come back...
  • I would probably be kinda pissed if my husband offered to pay me to lose weight, but I'm glad it is motivating for you! I am buying myself a gift for every week I lose weight...my husband does not approve, lol.
  • Aww, 4 daughters! I have one daughter who is 6 months old. I'd love three more ;) I honestly haven't gotten motivated to work out when I am at home with her. I have to get out of the house and go to the gym...then it feels like "me time" and I really enjoy it. I'd love to hear some tips on working out at home. I have DVDs…
  • Feel free to add me too! I'm a social worker in VA. I'm on MFP every day. And I care nothing for professional sports ;)
  • Feel free to add me too! I am pretty new to MFP-- I try to log every day. I've missed a couple days but not many. Logging my food and exercise is helping me sooo much!
  • I'm not 250+ but I eat a lot of vegetarian stuff and I'm trying to cook vegan dinners at least once/week. Feel free to add me if you want! Years ago at my heaviest I was 212, so I know something about being a bigger gal ;)
  • You can add me! I'm pretty new to myfitnesspal-- just joined in December. I had my first baby in July and gained 51 lbs during the pregnancy-- 16 pounds left to lose and myfitnesspal has been awesome for keeping me motivated! I like meeting other mamas on here :)
  • Yep, me too! I am determined to lose the baby weight from my first pregnancy before trying to get pregnant again. We have an almost-6-month-old and we want to try for #2 in the Fall. :)
  • I try to feel positive about stuff like this by reminding myself that perfect eating is not something I will be able to maintain 100% of the time long term. So, I see the "cheats" as an opportunity to get back on track afterwards, since they will inevitably happen from time to time and I need to be able to deal with them…
  • Yes! I have a five month old daughter and working on losing the last 21 lbs of the whopping 51 I gained during pregnancy! Not a SAHM but working 20 hrs/week. We can do it! :)
  • I think dancing is a great suggestion. I only get to the gym on days I'm not working when my hubby can watch the baby. Hopefully you and all the kids could have fun jamming out to some tunes :)
  • add me, please!
  • Girl, I'm right there with you. My daughter is 5 1/2 months old. I started the pregnancy at 152, which is a great weight for me. When I gave birth I was 203!! I lost the first 25 lbs fast but the last 25 is hanging on despite breastfeeding. In fact I think breastfeeding just makes me ravenous and makes me eat more. I am176…
