I'm with you. I always try and say please and thank you but it sounds like he was just tweaked that he got called out. It's all good and I love how he tried to squirm out of it even after you called him on it. What if someone else wants to lift this weight? HA!

Yes, Yes, Yes to chia seeds! In 1 Tablespoon they provide 6 grams of fiber, 3 grams of protein and 2.9 grams of Omega 3s. All that for 60-70 calories. They are whole seeds but very tiny. I toss a Tbs in my greek yogurt for a post workout snack. As the previous poster mentioned they are crunchy in their natural state. In my…

My first goal is to get to 153 which according to an online BMI calculator is the top of the overweight range for my 5'0 height. I'm at 195 now. The BMI calculator says that the top of the healthy range is 127 but I think I'm aiming for around 130-135 because I want to be strong. When I get to 140 I'll *kitten* my UGW. If…

Treadmill. I have no sense of timing or pace nor do I carry my phone so I need the timer. Also I live in Chicago and this winter has been wicked. I've signed up for a couple 5ks end of April and June so starting this month I'm going to add a 4th run on the track and eventually outside. I plan on not having the track run be…

I also started out too fast, I think a lot of people do. I'm still running along at my snail's pace but I'm doing it. I also was breathing a Lot better after I dropped my shoulders down and back. Opened my lungs right up. Enjoy!

Go slow. Now a little slower. Whatever speed you choose you should be able to speak a complete sentence. If you can sing you should go a little faster.

Seriously the running will be easier!

I'm in! I'm new to running and set my goal a bit higher than my anticipated miles.

I'm pretty new to running like you and notice I also have running fluctuations. I realized that my fluctuations are due to what I have or usually haven't eaten prior to running/working out. Now I try and do a mental check of what I ate about 2 hours before I go to work out. Sometimes I'm good and sometimes I have a small…

Awesome for you and what an inspiration for your daughter!

You've mentioned a lot of pain that starts immediately when you start running so my questions are: Are you wearing running shoes? How old are they? Were you fitted at a running store? You may not want to invest in buying running shoes just for the TM but if you are in a lot of pain and can't meet your running goals the…

You are doing great!

Personally I would cut 2-3 classes and strength train on those days. If you haven't lifted before you might want to use those 3 personal training sessions to get you started on that goal. Good luck! ETA: It seems like you really like group classes so does your gym offer Group Power or similar classes so you can strength…

Congratulations! I can't wait until I can say I've run a half. I'll get there slowly but surely.

Juice it?

I also love Work B**ch. Sexyback Justin Timberlake. If you want blood AC/DC.

Someone on another thread suggested jog.fm which expanded my playlists a lot.

Great idea OP!

Thank you for posting your amazing journey. I'm sure your family is very proud of you. Great work!

I was just looking at the recipes on the Chobani website yesterday. Lots of options for plain Greek yogurt. I can't wait to try a couple.

Check around your area and find a yoga studio that offers a beginners class. If you belong to a gym ask around about which teacher is good for beginners. Don't worry about being intimidated, just start slow. If you decide to take a class (this is how I prefer to do yoga) you may want to get their a couple minutes early and…

Yes! I noticed a few months ago that there is now a Women's bodyglide. It's pink, scented and if I remember correctly contained less glide per package at greater cost. Stick with the standard.

Lazy high bun with 2 hair bands (my hair slips loose with just one) and a head/sweatband works for me.

One of my instructors says to imagine a string pulling your belly button towards your spine. A friend calls it "photo stomach" which is when you suck in your gut to look slimmer before someone takes a picture. Good luck!
