The C25k I used recommended being able to walk briskly for 45-60 minutes before starting the program. If you can do that then slow down a lot and repeat the week until you can move on.

A change of scenery is always great for a fresh perspective. I bet the fresh air and post walk endorphins were nice too. Great job!

I don't have PCOS but I suspect I do. Following to hear the replies.

4 egg whites =100 calories 1TBS of oil =120 Leaving 160 for veggies and error. I would add the grits separately.

You can have up to 6 meals. It's been a long time since I customized my diary but I think you have to do it under settings/ diary settings on a computer. I don't see the option in the mobile app.

Gels are energy gels. They are used to prevent endurance athletes from bonking. More simply they give you energy to finish. Go to a local running store or R.E.I and buy a bunch of different kinds/flavors and start testing them out with your workouts now. Some your body will like and some you won't. Some taste disgusting.…

I am sure the fact that it was an individually wrapped microwaveable steamer increased the cost. This week I saw prices ranging from $.79 to $.49 a pound. Way cheaper than $1.34. I love sweet potatoes and eat them at least 3 days a week. It's a good veggie to buy when cheap as they last quite awhile in a cool dark…

That sounds exactly like lactose intolerance or at the very least lactose sensitivity.

This. All of this. And a lot of other amazing things that people have said. When I first heard of HAES I thought it was a great idea to encourage people to be healthier no matter what size they were. Obviously that's not the message HAES is really about. Health is at the core of my goals. I don't idolize anyone else's body…

In general spicier tends to be lower calorie than sweet. You always have the option of skipping a pre made sauce. Usually at the end there is garlic, ginger or other spices. Add a bit of oil and enjoy.

Usually hard cheeses have less fat than soft cheeses and thus lower calories. Try also using smaller amounts of a stronger cheese. Friends brought me some extremely pungent blue and I used half the normal serving and didn't miss out because it was so flavorful.

It depends on you. If I have yogurt or a protein shake less than 2 hours from class I feel awful with all the forward folds in Vinyasa. Something more solid is okay with my stomach but still about 2 hours before for me. Fish and veggies sounds like a good option.

Today is the last day to join this challenge as part of the audit group/ audit group member waiting for an active spot on a team to open up. The group becomes private tomorrow so please join the group and sign up for a team today. The journey begins tomorrow!
-
@audubontrail glad to have you! Just follow the link in the first post, above and read the "Rules for living in Middle Earth" to get yourself to the audit team. For everyone else, the audit team is still open to join until Saturday night! The challenge starts Sunday and the group becomes private.

Thanks jemhh! There is a new article that just came out a couple days ago as well. I haven't read it yet but it is floating around on my fit friends' fb pages.

There is actually some decent information about how your period affects training. I'm on my phone and can't link nor find the exact article I like but Google menstrual cycle and training and lots of options pop up. Most, most not all, feel strongest the week after their period and weak during. Personally this isn't true…

We start on Sunday! The active scoring teams are full but the auditing/ non scoring team is still open. You can indicate if you want to be on an active team if a spot opens up.
-
@laurenbowen2904 No, there are still spots open on the audit team! Follow the link above and read the announcement titled "Rules for living in Middle Earth. Please read this first" to get up to speed. Welcome!
-
@taichilass you can still join the challenge on the non scoring team/auditors team. That team is called The Free People of Middle Earth. If you wish to move to an active team put a * beside your name in the Free People thread and if spots open up we will offer them to the * in the order they signed up.

I always bring veggies and a slightly spicy dip and it is always one of the few apps that always gets completely eaten.
-
The spots on the Human/Ranger team have been filled. There are still spots on the audit team if you want to check out the challenge also you can say if you would like to join an active team if a space opens up. You don't need any Lord of the Rings knowledge to join this fun challenge!

It's a lot of fun and the teams are great at supporting each other. Glad you joined us! Only 5 active spots left! Unlimited audit spots left. We start in a week.
-

Rock wall climbing is one of the very few exercises that straddles the line of cardio/strength. You would have to divide your time based on the climbs of the day. Technical slower climbs as strength and climbs for speed with little to no rest between climbs as cardio. Same with bouldering.
-
Free People is a great choice for a first challenge! Aren't we all! Welcome to Middle Earth to you both!
-
Welcome! Challenges are a lot of fun and you may become a challenge addict!
-
:) Thanks RaeBeeBaby. Elves are now full! Dwarves are filling up fast. Lots of spots available in Hobbits, Men/Women and Free People of Middle Earth aka Auditors.
